The Sale of Business or Rental Property does not display Edit and Delete buttons. I need to delete Form 4797.

I did not sell a truck for a 1099 MISC.  The questions made me answer it in such a way that I did.  When I follow your directions to delete it, there is no Edit or Delete button on Any Other Property Sales.

Have you tried this way (online)?

• Sign into your account, select Take me to my return
• To your left, select Tax Tools, click on the drop-down arrow
• Select Tools
• Under Other helpful links, choose Delete a form
• Scroll down the list to locate the Form 4797 and related worksheets, select Delete and Continue with My Return

You need to work through the "vehicle expenses" section of your business or rental (whichever it is) and first correct things there by indicating you did not sell the vehicle. Until you do that, the 4797 will just "come back" during the final review once you've completed the return.
