Hi,
We run an investment/rental business with multiple properties. This includes renting out our primary residence as an Airbnb occasionally (greater than 15 days/year). In order to offset this, we bought an RV to live in when our house is rented, and we occasionally will stay in a cheap hotel. What I'm wondering is, is any of this deductible as part of our business - the price/maintenance of the RV or the hotel stays?
Thanks,
Jonathan

No, you cannot claim hotel or RV expenses incurred when renting your residence as an Airbnb.
if you are using your principal residence (main home) in this manner and also providing substantial services to renters (such as meals or maid service), you should seek professional tax guidance.
