Hi 2 questions. I am using the home & business instead of the Primer that I typically use.
I did a short UberEat gig that total $750+$850 in other fees (assuming tips) and Uber didn't give me 1099 since it's under 1099 shredhold, but I did receive the $850 in 1099-nec.
1. Do I file it as business (sole proprietor) and expense it in the Business section? or file it under a different section (other income)?
2, We also have a rental property under LLC in another state, which we already filed the tax return in march for that LLC. Do we file it as business in the H&B, or in a different section where we simply list the net income from real estate?
Thank you
Andy

#1 - Yes, in the business section - You will report that 1099-nec self-employment income on Schedule C (for sole proprietorships).
#2 - You should have received a K-1 from the LLC tax return that gets reported on Schedule E on your tax personal tax return. The K-1 will show your share of income and expenses. There are links below with instructions to enter the Schedule C (1099-nec and Uber expenses) AND Schedule E (TurboTax will put the K-1 info there automatically).
Where do I enter Schedule C? - After you set up your business profile (you can use your name and home address for the business profile), you will be asked about business income which is where you will enter the 1099-nec. Then you can enter your Uber business expenses. What self-employed expenses can I deduct?
And for the LLC, all you need to do is enter the information from the K-1 into TurboTax. The information will show up on Schedule E. Where do I enter a Schedule K-1 that I received?
