I'm having the same problem. Technical support says I either have to manually type in the information or purchase the online version instead of desktop CD. And, there is no guarantee I can get a refund on the desktop version after paying additional amount for online program. TurboTax this year has been a big disappointment. I have been trying to get a phone number to the Resolution Desk for so far no luck.
I can't import my 1099 forms from ETrade or Merrill.
This year I did follow Fidelity link and down loaded TT from TT site. I have no issue import Fidelity Tax information or other brokerage account. In 2023 , with the CD installed version I had issue with Fidelity import. The only work around for me by using Fidelity TT online to file, imported the tax infor and export it to my
MAC so I can complete the remain tax filing.
Hi Mary,
Sorry to hear the problem still exists for you. My problem of last year has been fixed and importing the problem brokerage 1099 of last year worked just fine this year with no problems - still using desktop version this year.
i have the same issue with Charles Schwab, the browser window opens, it says it retrieved my forms but Turbotax doesn't recognize this. i wonder if this is a browser issue, I use Brave
Other MAC users have been successful by turning off all anti-virus software.
Here's how to Contact TurboTax Support.
I had the same problem and then manually entered over 50 transactions and saved the file. When I opened it today, none of the manually loaded transactions were when I installed them. Turbotax has a huge problem with me on this as I am not going to report this year is a favorable year to use the software. Last year was not pleasant either. Turbotax needs to fix this ASAP.
It is happening to me this year for the first time. My Fidelity data in not inputting correctly and I have to manually put it in. I asked for a free online version to see if that would work and they won't let me have it for free. I didn't buy turbo tax to manually input my data from brokers.
Is it Fidelity or is it Intuit? I have a problem this year but never before. Fidelity always inputted seamlessly. My first year of no cd and wonder if the program is at fault.
Can you clarify what issue your having with the import? Is it not going importing at all or is it not importing correctly?
The imports came thru but would show as no interest. Dividends etc and below in a white rectangle would be the correct sum of dividend
interest etc. I had to delete the top post and go with the bottom white box entry.
I have never had this happen before. The imports were from Fidelity.
Obviously this has been a problem for others.
It only imported about 4 pages of transactions from the Fidelity download. I had to input the remaining transactions which took up another page + of transactions. After I saved the tax file, the inputted transactins didn't show up in the transactions page but showed up somewhere else when I poked around the program to try to find them. I feel this was a real shortcoming of the TurboTax program.
