How do I change my rental use percentage from 80% to 50% in Turbo Tax for calculating expenses on a condo?

You've just made a wrong selection on one of the asset entry screens.

Elect to edit the property asset.

- For "Describe thsi asset" select Rental Real Estate Property and continue

- Select "Residential Rental Real Estate and continue.

- For "Tell us about this rental asset" fill in the data. The cost is what you paid for the property in full. Cost of land is that portion of "Cost" that you are allocating to the land. Date Purchased will be a prior year, as you did not purchase this property in 2021, but in a year prior to that. Once all data is entered, continue.

- On "Tell us more about this rental asset" select I Purchased this Asset, then select No, I have not always used this item 100% of the time for this business, then select I used this item for personal purposes before I started using it in this business.

 - For Date I started using it in this business, enter the date that a renter "could" have moved in.

 - For percentage of time, that should be asking for percentage of floor space that is exclusive to the renter. You entered this number earlier. Enter the same percentage here, then continue.

- You're on the Asset Summary screen. The number should be right now, and you can select to show details to see the numbers used to arrive at that figure.
