Hi All,
I used my spouse's ITIN for FY22 return (due to a technical issue with IRS due to the SSN that was issued in 2021). For FY2023, I used the SSN and IRS accepted it without any issues.
Now I need to file an amendment for FY2022 but I am not sure if I should use the SSN or ITIN that was used originally in FY22. Any thoughts?

I suggest using the SSN and adding to the reasons for the amendment that you need to update for the SSN that was issued on X date and should have been included on the 2022 return. In those notes, be sure to list what the ITIN was on the original filing as well.
Thanks @SusanY1. Just for my knowledge, if I still send ITIN in FY2022 amendment, would there be any reasons to worry? I mean FY2023 has already submitted with SSN so I am trying to understand the flow/process IRS uses.
