You can’t deduct the expense of your computer used for investment purposes unless trading in investments is your job. You can only deduct it for education if you are enrolled in college and qualify for the American Opportunity Credit.
investment expenses for non-traders other than investment interest expense are no longer deductible. this started n 2018. if you are a trader, your business, then they would be Schedule C expenses
