I received a 1099-misc from my rental management corp. I have 2 rentals and the total income is reported in box 1. I entered my 1099 within "wages and income" subsection "1099-misc and other common income". The turbo-tax "Premier" software only allows me to assign this to one rental property on page "Rent or Royalty 1099-misc Income". In wages and income subsection "rental properties and royalties" I see the total income assigned to this one rental. How do I report the 1099 and separate the total income to address the second rentals income.

You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Or split the amount in box 1 and enter two separate 1099-misc.
Enter the rental income for each property from your records rather than the 1099-MISC.
The total should equal what is reported on your 1099-MISC.
Or split the amount in box 1 and enter two separate 1099-misc.
thanks for the advice
