“Just checking if youre a homeowner” - could you please clarify if this includes my rental properties? Why would this be so vague on tax reporting software?

No, being a "homeowner" does not include rental properties. If you own your own home, you are a homeowner. If you own rental properties, you are in business. The tax deductions are greater for rental properties than for homeowners.

OK. I would ask that you please clarify this in your software on the various pages, because this is confusing to a lay person.
