If I rent my studio (commercial building not my house) to other artists occasionally. How do I claim this income. Is it part of my schedule C or is there a better way?
I am a photographer with my own studio. It is a commercial property not in my home. I occasionally rent it to other artists. How should I claim this income? I think it is rental income not earned income. thanks

You are correct. It is rental income, not earned income. So it will be reported on Schedule E using the rental section of TurboTax to report this income.
