If I’m renting a room in a salon and pay taxes quarterly do i hsve to do them agaim

I also have a hourly job and need to do taxes for that do i still need to do the small business one as well?

Yes, the IRS is expecting all income to be reported.

 

Booth rental in a salon is an ordinary and necessary expense and can be deducted on the Schedule C where you report self-employment income.  See these directions.

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
  • Across the top, click on Income and expense.
  • To the right of Self-employment income, click Start.

To enter your quarterly Federal taxes:

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
  • Across the top, click on Deductions and credits.
  • To the right of Income taxes paid, click Start.
