I work out of a home office and want to deduct for these expenses. Under the "Rent paid for your entire home" section should it be the monthly rent or the total yearly?

This will be the yearly rent. Once you enter the square footage of the entire house and the square footage of you home office, TurboTax will now begin to calculate your total yearly bills by the percentage of the office space.
