I have made estimated tax payments on long term capital gains from the sale of company stock. Where do I enter the tax payments that I have made?

You can enter the estimated taxes you paid by following these steps:

  • In TurboTax, open your tax return and click on Personal, then Deductions & Credits
  • On the next screen, click on I'll choose what I work on
  • On the next page, locate the section named Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
  • Click on Start next to Estimates (see attached screenshot).

You can enter the estimated taxes you paid by following these steps:

  • In TurboTax, open your tax return and click on Personal, then Deductions & Credits
