I have a rental property that I file Schedule C for. Can I choose to claim the property tax on Schedule A instead of C if it will benefit me more there?

I mean Schedule E, not C.  I've been filing all my rental expenses on Schedule E, but I want to know if I can just switch the property tax expense over to schedule A and leave the other expenses on E.  Thanks!

No, you can't.

The instructions for Schedule A state "Enter on line 5b the state and local taxes you paid on real estate you own that wasn't used for business,..."
