I am having trouble completing a depreciation on using my car for business. I have no id a what they want?!

I’m confused with these subtract line 5 fromline 7 dialogues I don’t even understand what they’re asking

I am having trouble completing a depreciation on using my car for business. I have no id a what they want?!

You can always opt to use the Standard Mileage Deduction if this is the first year of business use, instead of your actual auto expense.  You can achieve this by reducing or removing the actual auto expense.  Click here for further information about Standard Mileage vs. Actual Auto Expense.

Or, since we cannot tell what the problem is, you can initiate a call with us.  TurboTax will call you back and an agent can share your TurboTax screen with you.

You can contact us by following the steps below:

  1. Log into your return
  2. Click on the help icon in the upper right corner
  3. Click on Contact us (See the screenshot below)
  4. Give an explanation of what the problem with your return is
  5. Select "Get a callback"
  6. Enter your telephone number, name and e-mail (See the second screenshot below)
  7. Click on the Call me button
