How do I list my dividends without a 1099-DIV?

I only made $5.39 via Merrill Edge investments last year, so I didn't get a 1099-DIV. However, before I moved my Coca-Cola stock to Merrill halfway through the year, I had made around $30 in dividends that were deposited into my checking account.

I want to accurately list all of this, but I have no forms to upload, and I see no way to list any of it without doing so via 1099 in TurboTax. Is there a section I can just list the total amount and call it a day?

Report the amount received as if you had received a 1099-Div.

Select to type the form yourself

Where do I enter my 1099-DIV?

Right, but I don't know who the financial institution is. I guess it'd be Merrill Edge for the second half of the year, but how do I list the dividends I received from my certificate stocks prior to moving them to Merrill?

Since the dividends were not listed on a form 1099-DIV, you can make one entry for all of them. Enter them as if you were entering a form 1099-DIV. If you don't have a broker name, enter "NA" for not available.

But it asks for an FEIN and says "needs review" when I try to skip it.

You could the amount under 'Other Reportable Income' .

Wages & Income > Less Common Income > Misc Income 1099-A, 1099-C  > Update.

Scroll down to 'Other Reportable Income'.

You itemize these dividends on Schedule B. this is the correct way.

The payer of the first thirty dollars is "Coca-Cola"

The payer of the second thirty dollars is "Merrill Lynch"

there is a 1099-DIV from merril Lynch in your account statement online under "Taxes"

Simply use the "type it  myself"  and all you need is the payer's name and the amount of dividends.

The same situation arises when the IRS gives you interest. The IRS does not issue a 1099-INT.
