How do i claim saving bond interest without a 1099?

To claim saving bond interest in TurboTax without a 1099-int, see steps below:

 

TurboTax Online Interest - be sure you are signed in for link to work

  1. Open or continue your return.
  2. Go to 1099-INT.
  3. Answer Yes to Did you have any interest income?
    • If you see Your investments and savings, select Add investments or select Edit next to the correct 1099-INT.
  4. On the Let's import your tax info screen, select Enter a different way.
  5. Select Interest 1099-INT and Continue.
  6. Select Type it in myself.
  7. Follow the onscreen instructions.
