Does 2020 TurboTax Basic Import 1099s?

Does TurboTax 2020 Basic (Download/CD) support importing 1099s directly from financial institutions such as Fidelity?  The 2019 Basic supported this, but it appears that the 2020 Basic does not.  Intuit has supported this for many years.  They angered many customers in 2014 when they took it out, but they put it back for 2015.  Have they taken it out again?

What gave you the idea that the 2020 Basic Edition will not import from financial institutions?   What are you looking at?  The 2020 product has not been released yet (coming soon), but I'll attach info about its features below.   Please explain what gave you that impression.

All of the desktop products have the same basic features.  They differ mainly in the amount of help and guidance.  However, Basic Edition does NOT include a state return and cannot import from ItsDeductible.   But it should be able to import from financial institutions.    See this image from the product comparison page:

Basic has all the same features as the other downloaded programs EXCEPT ...

1) no state return program included

2) doesn't import from It's Deductible

https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/basic.jsp says I can import W2s and last year’s info into TurboTax Basic 2020.  It doesn’t say that I can import tax forms from various financial institutions.  The 2019 TurboTax Basic supported importing tax information from financial institutions.  https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/deluxe.jsp says that I can import my 1099 tax form data from participating financial institutions into TurboTax Deluxe.  Has Intuit removed this feature from TurboTax Basic 2020, as they did in 2014?

mesquitebean and Critter-3 have both referred me to the same comparison page.  They both seem to think I didn’t bother to read it.  Actually, I read it more carefully than they did.  At the bottom of that page, there are links labeled “Learn more” for each product.  The link for Basic only says that I can import W2s.  The links for the other products explicitly say that I can import 1099s from my financial institution.  That leads me to suspect that Intuit has removed this capability from TurboTax Basic 2020, as they did in 2014.  Does anybody actually KNOW whether I can import 1099s into TurboTax 2020 Basic from my financial institution?  Thank you.

First they are always looking to get you to upgrade ... next call TT support if you don't believe what you are reading on the comparison screen.

I called Customer Support before I posted on the Community.  They didn’t have a clue either.  They sent me a link to a question about last year’s Basic.  Duh!  I already told them that last year’s Basic worked.  I guess I’ll call them again.  BTW, this isn’t as question about believing the comparison screen.  The comparison screen and the “Learn more” screens disagree, and I don’t know which one is wrong.
