Deleted my K-1 by mistake. Re-entered it but lost prior year capital loss carryover. Can't start return over, can't get any help from TurboTax, at a loss. What can I do?

Before I accidentally deleted the K-1, TurboTax had retrieved all the necessary information from my 2018 return, which was also done using TurboTax. Is there a way to get it to retrieve it again? In addition, I tried to start the whole return over but they say I can't because it's already been registered.

You'll have to look at last year's IRS Form 8582 to see what you're unallowed losses for 2018 were. That form will be a part of your 1040 tax return - not your 1065 partnership return.

Yes, of course, thank you. However, this is a TurboTax software problem. There does not seem to be any way for me to enter that information. At least, not as far as I can see.

A capital loss carryover would be entered in the investment section of TurboTax, as shown here, it would be reported on schedule D:

Thanks to that, too. But it still doesn't seem to be the answer. Perhaps I should have said that the capital loss carryover in question is from the LLC, the LLC to which the K-1 pertains. It is not a capital loss carryover of my personal investments, the latter appears to be the only thing I can appropriately enter in the "investment section".

Perhaps it would help if I mention that the capital loss carryover in question appears on my 2018 Form 8582, Passive Activity Loss Limitations.

More specificially, Line 4 of Part I on  2018 Form 8582.

Yes. It may be best to re-import last year's numbers. Click the link for a video: How we make it easy to transfer last year's info. This is a link explaining how you can pull your data from your TurboTax Online account.
