Can I leave the cost basis blank if I don't want to create a capital loss. Less than $100 so not a big loss.

I have several years of reinvested dividends for small fractions of shares of a spinoff. Not worth the work to figure the cost basis.

Yes, but you have to enter $0 in the cost basis box or TurboTax won't let you go forward.  You also have to choose Box A-F in the drop down menu. If it's uncovered or unreported, the IRS doesn't have a value for the cost until you tell them.
