Those payments were gifts and gifts given or gifts received are not reported on a tax return.

No, the rent that you paid for your daughter isn't a deduction or tax credit on your tax return. 

Charitable contributions that you deduct on your Schedule A as an itemized deduction, must be made to qualified organizations.  Refer to the TurboTax Blog What is a Charitable Donation?
