State return denied

My CA state return was denied.  This is what the email said.  Turbo Tax showed no errors.  I don't understand what this all says.  How do I correct my return so I can re-file, and not have it denied again??

I‘m extremely disappointed. Turbotax has been such a big letdown, not just in the software quality, but also in their responsiveness towards community's feedback. This issue was first reported a week ago, and now the thread has grown to 4 page long, the issue still hasn't been resolved. The software keeps telling me that "it will be resolved in an upcoming product release scheduled for March 25, 2022", on 3/28/2022, and who knows what's that supposed to mean.

On top of that, the reps don't seem to be engaged at all. They keep asking for information that was already provided by numerous users previously. Are they even reading the post? If not, how are they supposed to help us solve the problem?

Moreover, it just got me wondering how hard it really is to provide a true ETA of the fix? So many people have been asking about the timeline and not a single rep had the answer. Leaving your paid customers hanging like this isn't how I expect a big company like Intuit to handle production incidents.

@wangruinjuTurbo Tax seems to be having a terrible time with Schedule CA. Some of us have been posting about the same error you just mentioned here: My California e-file is rejected 

 

Do you have an entry in Part B line 8z of your Schedule CA? I do, but Turbo Tax is leaving the description of that income blank. I'm wondering if that's an automatic flag by the CA tax system that results in this particular error.

This does sound like a possible scenario. I do have an entry in section B line 8z of my Schedule CA, and I did enter the description in Turboxtax when I was filing, but it was omitted on the form though. Looks like a bug in the code to me. Did you figure out a way to solve this problem?

My state return was bounced by Georgia.  If you ever reach a human that can talk about how TurboTax screws up state returns, please let me know.  i won't be using TurboTax next year since their programs don't match the states' program and they don't have a real "Contact Me".  Georgia processed my return but with a refund $500 less than my "guaranteed accurate" TurboTax version.  By the way if you want a laugh and have an hour to kill, try to read the terms of that guarantee!

Resubmitted CA return today 3/31 and finaly got accepted.

Good luck to everyone resubmitting!  Just tried again today and resubmitted the Cali return after software update, finally worked but was pending for about 5/6 hours.

I can totally sympathize!  My federal return has been rejected six times in the last two days although I have all the correct information in it!  This has been absolutely ridiculous!  I have never tried to e-file before and the convoluted requirements make it that I never will again!  I have done everything the system and agents have instructed me to do, and my return has been rejected every time.  Then I was sent the link to the IRS and after taking a photo of my drivers license, scanning my face into a video and submitted, only to be told by the IRS that they couldn't verify MY identity now, that was the last straw. I was never able to access my tax return on the IRS website as the last agent instructed, so I still can't do whatever it is that the IRS says needs to be done to e-file. I think they should warn taxpayers that if their return is rejected just move on and file by mail.

unfortunately, TurboTax tax software now has a rule that if FED e-File is not recorded ACCEPTED,

you cannot e-File a state tax return.
