I am getting a message that there are duplicate 2025 Turbotax apps on my computer but I don't spot any duplicates.  Please help.

    To resolve this issue:

    1) Fully close TurboTax

    • Windows: Ctrl+Shift+Esc > Processes > End any TurboTax or Intuit processes.
    • Mac: Quit TurboTax, then Activity Monitor > quit remaining TurboTax processes.

    2) Remove duplicate installs

    • Windows
      • Settings > Apps > Installed apps: uninstall extra “TurboTax 20XX” entries (keep the one you use).
      • File Explorer: delete leftover folders:
        • C:\Program Files\TurboTax\
        • C:\Program Files (x86)\TurboTax\
        • C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Intuit\TurboTax\
      • Reboot.
    • Mac
      • Applications folder: if you see multiple TurboTax 20XX apps, delete duplicates.
      • Finder > Go > Go to Folder:
        • ~/Library/Application Support/TurboTax/
        • /Library/Application Support/TurboTax/
        • ~/Library/Preferences/ (remove com.intuit.turbotax*.plist if obviously duplicative)
      • Empty Trash and reboot.

Hello I just filed my taxes last night and I’m trying to cancel to receive five days earlier. I did not know it was a 35 dollar fee.

There's only a $35 fee for the "Up to 5 days early" offer if you chose for the refund to go directly into your own bank account.   If you choose the option that deposits in a Credit Karma Money checking account, there is no fee.

Have you received notice yet on whether your efiled return has been accepted or rejected?   If accepted, it's too late to change it.  If rejected, however, you "may" be able to change that option, correct whatever else made it reject, and resubmit.

If you are stuck with that option, and if your Federal refund fails to arrive at least 1 day earlier than it would have if it came directly from the IRS, then TurboTax says they will not charge the $35.

I filed our taxes and they were accepted on Feb 22nd. We have still not received our refund and my transcript through the IRS says not refund has been filed.

You can check the status of your refund.  If your return has been accepted, track your refund at the IRS Where's My Refund? site.

    1. You'll need your Social Security number or ITIN, filing status, and the exact amount of your refund to check your status, which you'll find on the first screen after signing in to TurboTax.
    2. If you mailed your return, wait 4 weeks after mailing your return before using the tool.

When you initially file your return, the IRS will accept the return. As as they process your return, the status will change.  Most refunds from e-filed returns are processed in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review.  If it's been over 21 days since your e-filed return was accepted, you can call the IRS to check on your refund status.

Go here to track your state refund.

I am doing my mom's tax return.  She's in a medical facility.  She doesn't have an email or cell phone. Can I prepare her return with my  email & cell number?

Yes, you can use your email and phone number as contact info when preparing your mom's return.

Subject: Urgent Escalation Needed – Cross River Bank Holding My Refund

    Hi,
I need immediate help escalating an issue with Cross River Bank regarding my refund transfer. My IRS refund was sent to Cross River, but the deposit could not be posted. It should have been returned to the IRS promptly, but Cross River has been holding it with no communication.

I have called their IRS/refund line multiple times, left voicemails, and attempted every contact method available. No one answers, and no one returns calls. There is no email or alternative support channel.

At this point, I need TurboTax to escalate this internally. Cross River is not following normal ACH return timelines, and I cannot get any information about the status of my refund or when it will be returned to the IRS.

Please open an escalation ticket with Cross River on my behalf and request:

    1. The status of my refund

    2. The date it was coded as unpostable

    3. When it will be returned to the IRS

I appreciate your help — I cannot resolve this without your intervention.

    Thank you.

@user17745490144 In the My Info section of the program when entering your personal information go to the address and phone number section.

On the box for Type of mailing address using the dropdown choose Foreign Country so you can select the country and enter the Postal Code.

Is there anyway I can receive a refund for my filing? I just realized I was grossly overcharged.

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue.  If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help.  Do not use the word “refund.”
