If you mailed a paper return, then I assume you yourself physically printed, signed, dated, and mailed it.  TurboTax does not mail it for you.   It can take the IRS 6 weeks or even more to process a mailed paper return.   Approximately 4 weeks after you mailed the return, it should show up in the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool, where you can monitor it here: https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Latest update and forms applied from Thu Mar 5 -- STILL not fixed. Beyond ridiculous.

It seems that the carryforward is messed up. The 2024 profit, if any, on this property,  should have reduced the carryforward loss from 2018. profit years are supposed to reduce losses from the earliest carryforward year.   the QBI loss c/f may also be messed up. it seems strange that there is this huge QBI loss from 2021 bit no regular loss.

How was your last year's 2024 return prepared?    If it was prepared in 2024 desktop software, then you are the only one who could have saved the *.tax2024 data file on your computer, external storage, or cloud storage.   If you used Online TurboTax, we can tell you how to find and download the *.tax2024 data file so you can transfer it into a 2025 desktop return.

Hello, My property manager put my house up for rental in November 2025 (listed on Zillow, etc) but did not find a tenant until January 2026 so I have no rental income to report in 2025. However, I would like to be able to deduct some expenses (landlord insurance, HOA, cleaning and maintenance, repairs) that were incurred since listing the home. When I fill in "days rented at fair rental price" as 0 and "Personal use during the year" as 273 days, TurboTax is telling me that this is considered a "not-for-profit-rental" and wants to delete this property from my return. It says "Be sure to enter: expenses for this property in Deductions and Credits. Expenses can't be higher than rent you received." Since I did not receive any rent in 2025, does this mean I cannot enter any expenses?     Thank you!

They did take out of our federal without anything showing up on my transcripts. I only got 5% of what I was supposed to get. I'm confused on how this isn't addressed when they hold the return for the PATH act for weeks but don't check that the income is solely mine and the debts from the spouse without income should automatically denied access to the return.

His full past due amount came out of federal but we got a letter from the state saying they were taking $1200+ out of state for past due child support and I am not sure what to do, who to contact, etc. I emailed the treasurer but haven't heard back and no one answers the phone.    Also, do you know where I need to mail form 8379? I found three different addresses and I'm not sure which one is correct. We are in Indiana.    Thank you so much.

filing 2025 taxes on windows 11.  i am stuck in a deathloop trying to e-file. I received unemployment. Taxes were NOT taken out. It keeps telling me I need to enter a locality  because taxes were taken out. So I enter a locality. Then it says taxes paid cannot be 0 if you entered a locality. It MAKES me enter the locality but then won't accept the ZERO amount. Been through this loop 10 times so far.
I CANT FIND ANY REFERENCE TO IT IN THE TURBOTAX PKG THAT I JUST WENT THRU AND INPUT ALL MY INFO

Why is TT telling me I'm required to print and mail form 8453 to the IRS? Upon opening the file, the box for Form 8949 is X'ed.  However, this form seems to say that I'm not required to report the transactions as follows:   "You may aggregate all short-term transactions reported on Form(s) 1099-B and Form(s) 1099-DA showing basis was reported to the IRS and for which no adjustments or codes are required. Enter the totals directly on Schedule D, line 1a; you aren’t required to report these transactions on Form 8949 (see instructions)"   I entered the aggregate values into TurboTax prior to e-filing. Why didn't TurboTax report this information on Schedule D, line 1a?   I only had short-term transactions. Nothing else to report. Very confused and disappointed.
I have gone back to try and chance it but it would has the option to Mail In or I'm Not Ready to File
