If your refund is delayed, TurboTax will still try to take out applicable fees on the scheduled date if you elect to pay using your refund even if it has not yet been received.
The IRS usually takes 21 days to process returns, and the payment withdrawal can happen 7–10 days after acceptance.
When 21 days have passed since e-filing, you should track your refund directly on the IRS website:

You can file an amended return for 2024 to claim the capital loss carryover. Then, if there is a carryover into 2025, you may need to amend that return as well to claim the loss and have the correct amount carried forward to 2026.
Take a look at the following TurboTax help articles for guidance to amend:

Reject Code FPYMT-072-01 indicates an IRS rejection because the requested electronic payment date is invalid, typically set after the filing deadline or too far in the past. It occurs when the RequestedPaymentDt in the IRS payment record is after the due date (e.g., April 15, 2026). Fix this by changing the payment date to the current date or on/before the due date in your software's electronic filing (ELF) screen and retransmitting.

Per Fidelity's website: "To give consent to share your Fidelity data, use Fidelity Access, which enables secure, tokenized connections to third-party apps without sharing your login credentials. You can initiate this by selecting the "Connect to Fidelity" option on the third-party app or website, which will prompt a secure login to your Fidelity account to authorize data sharing."
You would choose the "Fidelity Access" pathway. And then Log in with your credentials on the official Fidelity site and authorize access to specific account data.

To specify a 72(t) distribution (also known as SEPP—Substantially Equal Periodic Payments), you have to look for the "Penalty Exception" screens that appear after you enter your 1099-R.
Open or continue your return.
Under Federal tab, Click on Wages & Income.
Find Retirement Plans and Social Security and select IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R).
Enter the information exactly as it appears on your 1099-R (even if you know it’s a 72(t) distribution, do not change Box 7 to a different code).
Click Continue on the 1099-R summary page; the program will ask a series of follow-up questions.
Look for "Did you use your IRA to pay for any of these expenses?" (this screen lists various exceptions... e.g., Medical, Education, First-time Homebuyer).
Look for the box labeled "Equal periodic payments (under section 72(t))" or simply "Substantially equal periodic payments.", and Enter the Amount: Enter the portion of the distribution that qualifies under your 72(t) plan. The program will then generate Form 5329 and apply Exception Code 02 to remove the 10% penalty.
To make sure this worked before you file:
Click on Tax Tools (left-hand column), then Tools, then View Tax Summary, and finally Click on Preview my 1040 on the left. Look for Schedule 2, Part II. The penalty should be gone or reduced.

To file your taxes using turbotax for 2023 and 2024 you would have to purchase the TurboTax desktop programs for 2023 and 2024. You can purchase and download the TurboTax Desktop 2023 software directly from the official Intuit website. This link contains additional information about filing your prior year tax return. See: How do I file a prior year tax return?
Then you would:
Download and install the software on a desktop or laptop
Collect W-2s, 1099s, and deduction information for each specific year.
Complete each return separately Print, sign, and mail each return.
You must mail your federal and state returns separately.
Use certified mail with a return receipt for proof of filing
You will have to mail your tax return as online filing for 2023 is closed. The return cannot be e-filed and must be printed, signed, and mailed to the IRS. See: How do I file my return by mail?
For 2022, the last day to file a 2022 federal tax return and still claim a refund was April 15, 2026. There is a three year statute of limitations. It would be three years from the due date of the 2022 tax return which would be April 15, 2026) If you file you may likely not get a refund due to the statute of limitations expriring and if you owe money for your taxes you could face a "failure to file" (up to 5% monthly) and "failure to pay" (0.5% monthly) penalty plus interest.

You must file Form IT-201-X if you need to correct an error on your original New York State Resident Income Tax Return (IT-201), report changes made by the IRS to your federal return, or claim a missed credit or deduction. On the standard Form IT-201, Line 61 is found in the Voluntary Contributions section. If anything changed in your tax return which resulted in a change in your refund and you indicated that you wanted to make a Voluntary Contribution, you would be required to file an amended New York return to reflect the correct amount you are contributing.
