They offered this Identity Theft protection early in process. Now at end, AFTER I've paid, T.T. says I can't use the paid-for protection UNLESS I sign a blanket authorization allowing them to use my information for other purposes than preparing taxes. The authorization does not restrict T.T. to just giving this infor to their protection agency.
The desktop button doesn't work.  Tried mult browsers, cleared cookies/cache, etc.  Called support.  What we ended up trying and this worked:  You can amend it on a phone browser.  The "Amend online"... See more...
The desktop button doesn't work.  Tried mult browsers, cleared cookies/cache, etc.  Called support.  What we ended up trying and this worked:  You can amend it on a phone browser.  The "Amend online" button works on the phone, but not on the desktop version.  Frustrating, but at least it's a work around.

Last year my only option to enter my 1099R for a distribution from my insurance contract(State Farm), amt higher than our premium amt. was an IRA or Roth.  This  wasn’t for either of those.  I was told this would be fixed so I could check the appropriate box.  This was my only hold up last year.  2 TurboTax people tried to help but didn’t have the answer. I clicked IRA last year just so I could move on. It cost me in using them also.  Has this been fixed?

That's encouraging, I suppose that they are developing an estimation tool.  It's silly, however, that we're in the middle of tax season and TT has disabled a long-time tool that many relied upon to report their non-cash charitable contributions and yet they still don't have a viable replacement (or even an estimated launch date).  TurboTax should do better to serve its longtime customers.

Can you clarify if the original loss was an odd number?  If so, you'll need to round one down and one up, so that the whole, rounded numbers equal the total.
It is now after February 13, 2026 and this functionality is still not available online.    Is there any update for when this will release?

How do I redo the review and sign document to decline sharing my info with intuit?
We should know it’s after the 13yh because you are responding on the 14th. I guess TurboTax don’t have a definite date?

Been using turbotax since the 1990s, not sure why so many changes were launched this year.  Very frustrating for sure. Thank you for your assistance.
The question is for rollovers to other types of retirement accounts such as traditional Ira just answer no.
