You are correct. Entering 199A dividends will generate a Form 8995. It doesn't mean the program is treating you like you are a business. You get a 20% deduction of 199A income, so you will get a $0.70 deduction. Or, you can just skip the 199A dividends as if they weren't reported on your 1099-DIV.

It is asking you to e-file the amendment. Generally, you can e-file your amended 2025, 2024, or 2023 federal return via TurboTax if your original return was also e-filed in TurboTax.

On the "Federal Taxes" you can manually enter 1099-MISC form with the description and amount you have on your form. Make sure to carefully type in the payer's (AMEX) tax id number. Tip: put account number in paraenthes () in the description, for records. Also, look through the list of forms turbotax has; quite often there are multiple blank or partially completed forms, from previous auto-import attempts. Turbotax needs a bit better cleanup and garbage collection, indeed.

you can e-file your extension through our Easy Extension website. An extension does not give you extra time to pay your taxes, which are due on April 15, 2026. Even if you can't pay your taxes by the deadline, file an extension anyway so you can avoid the late-filing penalty.

Try this for your 1095-A:
Delete the 1095-A and Form 8962 if applicable. When asked if you have Form 1095-A, answer NO.

If your tax return gets rejected again, but you do not have a form 1095-A, see the bottom of this TurboTax FAQ to see how you can certify your choice and e-file your return.

Agree with Sharon's suggestion: Close/quit turbotax (if necessary, from task manager/end task), clear any cookies (or close entire brower); reboot/restart computer also could help. With slow internet connection parts of turbotax take a few minutes to respond, though never more than 2-3 minutes.

As a former programmer, the ONE thing that ALL businesses MUST pay attention to is cash flow. Doesn't matter if it's a software company or a medical office or a retail store. NUMBER ONE PRIORITY for ANY business is getting the money. If your software cannot guarantee that you can get the money then that bug, and it's fix, should ALWAYS be a top priority. Unless.... as some of the posts point out, the best alternative actually increases in the bottom line ($40 vs $25) then the response makes sense but poses an ethical question, yes?

Make sure you have no special characters in your address (Apt. 19, not #19, for instance) and that your Billing Address and return address match. Try clicking around a bit and returning to this screen to retry. Sometimes it's a bad connection (you're going to a Billing server). You can try turning off your anti-virus programs.
Otherwise, you can Contact TurboTax Support to report a 'blocked payment issue'.
