For TurboTax Online, use the Account Recovery tool to reset your credentials: Enter your phone number or email address. You'll receive a verification code to reset your password. If you do have access to your email or phone, select the small blue link that says "Try something else" on the recovery page You will be asked identity verification questions, such as your Social Security Number (SSN) and date of birth. You may be required to upload a photo of your ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport). Once submitted, a review typically takes one business day.   If online methods fail, you can call customer support at 1-800-446-8848. Note that they can help verify your identity but generally cannot directly modify your password for you.

>>>TurboTax is designed with a strict one-to-one relationship between a 1099-DIV entry and a foreign country on Form 1116   Which is an incorrect design, and Intuit has known about it for years.   It will take longer to generate fictitious (fabricated)  1099 forms and then go back and generate 1116 forms than it would have taken me to do this section correctly on PAPER!   I guess you are too busy breaking things that used to work to fix the things that are broken.

We had a distribution in 2024 in my husbands name. We chose to divide it into the 3 months. When I enter the amoun from line 11, and say no   to the box being checked it then opens up wanting the same info about the distribution in my name. I've played with this by leaving everything in my name blank. I have also tried entering the same that is shown on my husbands (1/3 the amount and no). The problem has resulted in adding both amounts (1/3 for each of us) to the 1040. There was only 1 distribution and only in husbands name. Updates are current.  I am using home & business edition.

The AI assistant suggests editing the address in the "My Info" section, but that only changes the info on the application and paperwork. I have tried making that change via the official TurboTax website and the Android app. The tax return PDF still inputs my address as an apartment even though it isn't and the info was deleted.

If you're in TurboTax Online:   Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu. Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website. Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms. Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit." Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.   @reyac-8301

Yes.   When you file a joint return all of your combined income goes on one tax return.     When you are entering income on a joint return, every income entry screen will either have a spot with both spouse’s names there, or when you click to enter a W-2, 1099R, etc. it will ask you by name which spouse it is for.  You do not have to wait for the software to “ask” you for your spouse’s income. Go to the screens to enter your spouse’s W-2’s, 1099’s, etc. just like you did for your own income.  Then look for your spouse’s name there.

The $40 "refund processing fee" is the fee you have if you choose to pay your TurboTax fees from your federal refund instead of paying upfront using a credit or debit card before you e-file.   If you choose "refund processing" your refund goes first from the IRS to a third party bank.  That bank takes out the fees to pay TurboTax, keeps $40 for itself and deposits the rest of the refund in your account.  You can avoid that fee by paying upfront before you e-file. Follow these navigating instructions to enter your state estimated payments:   If you made estimated or quarterly tax payments in 2025 toward your federal, state, or local taxes, enter them in the Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid section. Navigate to the estimated tax payments section: TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to estimated tax payments under Deductions & credits in the Federal section. TurboTax Desktop: Go to the Federal Taxes, then Deductions & Credits. Select Estimates and Other Taxes Paid. Select Start or Revisit next to the type of estimated tax payment you'd like to enter under Estimated Tax Payments. Enter the amount of estimated tax you paid at each of the quarterly due dates. If you paid 2025 estimated taxes in 2025, you'll enter just one amount for each state or locality. State and local payments will flow automatically to their respective returns from these entries.   See: TurboTax - Where do I enter my estimated tax payments?

URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator—it's simply the technical term for a web address (like google.com).  TurboTax is asking for your account provider sign-in URL; it wants the specific website address you use to log into your bank, brokerage, or payroll provider (like ADP or Fidelity).
