It sounds like your 1099G was included twice.  Renavigate to the 1099-G entry, verify it is only there once.  If there is a duplicate, delete it.  If not, there is only one, delete what you have and manually reenter.     If, after these steps, your income is still too high by $4,680, preview the return (Tax Tools > Print Center > Print, save or preview this year’s return) and see if the 1099G is appearing in another place that it does not belong, then navigate to that area to delete it.

The final step before efiling identifies a state id # as blank and I can't change it at that point or by reentering the # in the edit mode for the 1099R information.

No, the depreciation does not have a different amount for AMT than is used for regular depreciation.    The method of depreciation for residential rental property is 27.5 year recovery and this is the same for both regular depreciation and AMT depreciation. There is no excess of what is allowed for AMT based on the straight line recovery method required under tax law. This is not a new tax law. It actually began in 1986.   If you've had this rental property for more than one year, you can take the house cost and divide by 27.5 years. This should give you a very close (within a couple dollars) of the amount of allowed depreciation for the year. IRS Publication 946 Please provide additional details so that we might provide specific details for your situation.

The IRS does not use the word "accepted" on the refund site.     To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954.   Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities.  There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.   TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

Received and Accepted mean the same thing.   After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.   Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.   Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday   Or you can contact your local IRS office.  See this IRS website for local IRS offices - http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-Your-Local-IRS-Office-1 or call 1-844-545-5640 to set up an appointment You may want to contact a Taxpayer Advocate in your area.  See this IRS website for Taxpayer Advocate - https://www.taxpayeradvocate.irs.gov/ or call 1-877-777-4778

It sounds like you agreed to the "switch" from desktop to online TurboTax, used online and now want to go back to using desktop----but you already made the "switch".    It is unlikely that you can go back to desktop after that, but you can have that conversation with customer support.   No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue.  If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help.  Do not use the word “refund.”   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/account-management/contact-turbotax/L2y9ZKpQB_US_en_US?uid=m5s9l2vh
