If TurboTax is stuck at the final stages, try these steps:
Clear cache and cookies
Log out of TurboTax, restart your device, and log and back in
Use a different browser (e.g., switch from Chrome to Edge).
Try a different time of day when there may be lower "traffic"
As we approach the filing deadline, there is higher server traffic, which can significantly impact the tax filing process by causing system slowdowns, application errors, and potential delays in submission for both individuals and tax professionals.

To access your tax returns (current or prior year) you will sign into the TurboTax website with the user ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
As an alternative for current year return, when you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a State (You will not really be adding a state).
This will take you back in to the 2025 online tax return.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Find the Print Center and choose the year you want to print. If you want your full return including worksheets, choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets.
In TurboTax Online, follow these steps to print/view your return and all of the informational worksheets after you have filed:
Sign in to TurboTax
Scroll down to Your Tax Returns & Documents
Select 2024 and then Add a State (You aren't actually adding a State but this gets you back into the Print Center)
From the left panel Select Tax Tools, scroll down a little and select Print Center
Select Print, save or preview this year's return
Select the 2024 Federal and/or State return box
Choose to Include TurboTax and government worksheets
Select View or Print Forms

You should wait until your filed return is processed and you have your refund if applicable before you do the amendment.
To amend your 2024 tax return, log into your current TurboTax account and you will find an option to prepare an amended return. Choose the year you want to amend and follow the instructions. What you will do is update your return to add missing information or make changes to information you entered. Then, include a description of your changes. TurboTax will calculate an additional refund or tax due if applicable and you will then submit the amended return and pay any tax due or wait for a refund.

Check the pictures provided by NY to ensure you are using the right number. (It's not the DMV-ID number)

The Payers TIN listed on the 1099R does NOT have a dash in it..the format is 9 digits without any dash. I called the pension plan and verified this is their correct TIN. TurboTax does not allow me to enter the number WITHOUT a dash...and hence my return is getting rejected. HOW do i enter a TIN that does not have the dash in it as apparently some older pension plans do not follow the format they are expecting?

I can't believe I'm paying them when I found the error myself. After two separate phone calls with TurboTax support totaling more than two hours — where the reps had zero clue what was wrong or how to fix it — I was the one who had to discover the bug and the workaround on my own. Their software completely failed to trigger the 2024 AGI questions for the Previously Owned Clean Vehicle Credit. It's ridiculous that customers have to troubleshoot and correct TurboTax's own programming errors, especially when it could have cost me $4,000. @AnnetteB6 — any movement on the goodwill discount or partial refund I requested for this mess?

1. Are your birthdates correct?
2. Did you indicate that you and your spouse had qualifying HDHP coverage all year? You should indicate you both had coverage, even if one spouse was covered under the other's policy.
3. The $1000 catch-up can only be contributed to an account in the taxpayer's own name. HSAs are individual accounts, they are never joint. If you and your spouse were both covered by family HDHP insurance all year, then the $8550 can be split any way you want but the $1000 catchup only goes in each one's own account. So you could contribute $9550 and your spouse $1000, or you could contribute $5275 each, but you can't contribute $10,550 to a single account.
4. Did you enter workplace contributions as if they were out of pocket contributions? That can create an apparent excess contribution. Workplace contributions are only entered automatically via your W-2, never separately. Only separately list contributions you made out of pocket.
5. If these things don't fix it, try deleting form 8889-T and 8889-S and then run the HSA interviews again.

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund.
Your refund could be offset. The IRS and State Governments have the ability to offset a refund to pay for certain past due debts. You generally will receive a letter stating what the offset was for. The IRS provides a toll-free number, (800) 304-3107, to call for information about tax offsets.
Here are a few FAQs to help you track your refund: When will I get my federal tax refund? How do I track my state refund? Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"?
Why do some refunds take longer than others?
What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?

Yes, if your return hasn't been accepted, it's as if it hasn't been filed.
