When did you efile or mail it? If you efiled was it Accepted? When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. Check back though your emails and spam/junk folder. How to check your efile status https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/electronic-filing/check-e-file-status/L9XhHDPtD_US_en_US?uid=lvriwl8j When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say? If your account says Printed or Ready to Mail that means you have to actually print out your tax return and mail it to the IRS yourself. So it has not been filed yet. And it will always say Ready to Mail. Turbo Tax doesn’t know if or when you mailed it and the IRS doesn’t update Turbo Tax when they get your mailed return.

After finishing my U.S. return, I start on Maryland. There I see the following prompt: Next, keeping in mind that I'm a Part-Year MD resident (no place of abode there after June 30, and having established new domicile in Pennsylvania on July 1) as set forth in the part-year residence resident box on the first page of MD Form 502, I get to the following screen: This automatic subtraction is incorrect. Recall that $524 is ALL of my interest on U.S. government obligations. As we know, I will only recognize the portion of the dividends I received from the relevant mutual fund while I was a Maryland resident (see below), and I can only deduct the portion of the interest I received from U.S. government obligations while I was a Maryland resident. There is, however, no obvious way for me to correct it. Eventually, I come to the following prompt: This prompt is a bit of a head-scratcher, but I figure my income received while a resident of a state other than Maryland (PA income, in my case) includes, among other things, all of the dividends paid by the relevant mutual fund while I was a PA resident less the interest on U.S. government obligations paid by the fund while I was a PA resident (doing the math, the latter amount comes to $311.46).    So far, I think I've done everything TurboTax has asked me to do. But when I look at my Maryland Form 502SU, line AB, and Maryland Form 502, line 13, I see that TurboTax has deducted ALL of my interest from U.S. Government obligations for the entire year ($524) from my Maryland income. That amount can't be right. It exceeds the amount of interest I received from U.S. Government obligations while I was a resident of Maryland. In fact, it exceeds the amount of all of the dividends I received from the relevant fund while I was a resident of Maryland. So what to do? (More . . . )

Did you use TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online)?    If you used TurboTax Desktop, then your returns are only saved on your computer, not on our servers. Try looking in the TurboTax folder in your Documents folder, or use the built in Windows search to look for .tt24 files.   If you used TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online), did you login directly to 2024 to see if your return was there? You can login to TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online) 2024 here: https://ww1.2024.ca.turbotaxonline.intuit.com/   If it wasn't there, do you have more than one account? If you do, your return might be there.
thanks, Mindy. Doesn't the IRS clearly define an estimated payment for 2025 as one made before January 15, 2026? Won't I get some sort of mismatch notice (CP30 or CP16) notice?
my printed forms are in my file, fees were to be deducted from my refund, has not been received by IRS, what should i do now?

If you do not have your last year's tax information available, you can look at your tax transcripts through the IRS Online website at IRS.gov. You can use this link to sign in to or create (if you do not have one) your IRS Online Account.    You can look at line 5 of your Form 1040. Box 5a shows the total amount of annuity distribution and Box 5b shows the taxable amount.     Also, you can look at your individual Form(s) 1099-R if you have multiple annuities. To do this, you will need to access your Form 1099-R details.   On your Form 1099-R, look at: Box 1: Gross distribution. Box 2a: Taxable amount. Box 4: Federal income tax withheld. You can also call the issuers of your past-year's Form(s) 1099-R to get this information or access your online portal for your retirement plan.   The IRS has a tool that asks questions to determine, for 2025, 2024 or 2023, whether your qualified retirement plan or nonqualified annuity distribution is taxable. This may be of help, just click on Begin in the blue box to start the questions.    See this link:   Is my pension or annuity payment taxable?   See also Publication 939 General Rules for Pensions and Annuities   If you have additional information or questions regarding this, please return to Community and we would be glad to help.

My husband and I file together, when I go to file my husbands taxes it says error and won’t let me file. It says I have an income of zero but I answered the question that I do not have an income of zero because on line 10100 my income shows as $289. I called the cra and they said if I had income on line 10100 then it’s not zero. The only thing I’m wondering if I could be wrong as is it says net income on line 23600 is zero. I didn’t work last year because I was on LTD at work. Should I change it to say his spouse does have an income of zero?
No. A Flexible Savings Account (FSA) is different from a Health Savings Account (HSA).   See this TurboTax article HSA vs. FSA: What Are the Differences? for more information.
