Even if you're totally offline and have none of the aforementioned, federal and state governments have all of your information on their systems. There's really no escape." That is certainly no excuse for NOT trying hard to limit the exposure as much as possible, now is it? The fewer exposures you have the lesser the chance of a compromise taking place that involves your sensitive information. So taking active control over those vulnerabilities as much as is possible would be sensible, I believe.
