TurboTax only provides an estimate, it cannot track your return or refund.   Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.   Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.    If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...   After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

The instructions are accurate from our Tax Expert @DavidF1006. The IRS may look for the 1099-K, however you have reported the income and cost as appropriate for the tax return accuracy. The most important action is to file a correct tax return and many situations, due to the nature of the tax law and filing requirements for payers will cause a change in the entry actions.    The process of actually entering a 1099-K, or other tax income forms, is for the taxpayer and not the IRS. The IRS already has a copy of your income.   Keep the 1099-K in your tax files and have it available should the IRS request any information later.    @TA58

You can check the status refund as soon as you'd like, but the state will not have updated the status until they have received and processed the return, so just be aware that if nothing shows up, you may just need to check back again.   Check your Individual Tax Refund Status at the Department of Hawaii Taxation here: Tax Refund Status site.

I have W2 income, My wife is 1099 with a home office. I already entered mortgage interest in the deduction section. When completing Schedule C for the home office it allows me to enter the full amount which doesn't see correct. Home office is ~10% of total home square footage. In Schedule C should be entering the full amount of mortgage interest (Turbo Tax is allowing it and in review says no errors) or the 10% of mortgage interest?
j'ai entre le coordonne de la personne a charge mais l'annexe 5 ne ce genere pas
If your bank is not listed for import then you will have to enter the forms you received from the bank manually.
Yes I am having the exact same problem. Also it shows only 24 tax on 3800. Not what the tax table shows.  What a frigging mess!

Hi @MaryK4 . Thank you help - very much appreciated.   My "Easy Step" workflow doesn't follow yours. After I click on "Add investments", it takes me a "Let Us Enter Your Bank and Brokerage Tax Documents" screen (screenshot below). I then click on "Skip this Import" as I don't have a 1099-B for these selling expenses. The next screen (screenshot below) says "OK, let's start with one investment type". It only gives me choices related to a specific 1099 form. No where does it give me an option to "Type it in myself" or anything similar. I've tried entering a fake 1099-B, but after entering that, it just brings me back to this "OK, let's start with one investment type" screen. I can't figure out where I should go.   Thanks for any additional help you may have, Gary

I moved to IL from NE in August but remained with my same employer. Although I moved in August, my employer didn't switch my state of residence for tax purposes until December. So when I'm reviewing my W-2 my state wages does not equate to how much I made while in IL, a few months of income and tax payments are reflected still under NE.    Should I enter my income based on what's on my W-2s as long as I enter my date that I started living in IL?

@Nicolebenedetto , you are very welcome to put your question(s) here and one of us surely can help you prepare and file a correct return.   I am assuming from your post that you are self-employed and deal with cash only i.e. you do not get a 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC or 1099-INT / DIV etc.    Also if you are uncomfortable putting the details here on the public board you always have the option of  using PM  ( just NO PII -- Personally Identifiable Information ) -- except for you and the addressee no one sees the contents. But first do a search based on your  issue and see if this has already been addressed on the board.

@sixiang1986   Even though it shows up as income on the first page,if you have capital gains or qualified dividends the tax on line 16 is not taken from the tax table but is calculated separately from schedule D.  The tax will be calculated on the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet.  It does not get filed with your return.    In the online version you need to save your return as a pdf file and include all worksheets to see it.   IRS Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet—Line 16 on 1040 instructions page 36.  And you will need the IRS Tax Tables starting on page 64 or the Tax Computation Worksheet on page 76. https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040gi.pdf
