My daughter is a graduate student on stipend.  She receives a 1098 T that includes Tuition paid and Grant/Scholarship distributed.  Turbotax takes the full Grant/Scholarship distribution, substracts the tax-free tuition paid, and uses the result as taxable income.  This amount of taxable income IS NOT in line with what she actually receives as a stipend, and is overstating the income by about 15%, therefore overstating the tax due.  In past years, she was advised (by the University CPA service) to just use the amount she actually received from the University as Income, and not the number presented on the 1098-T.   Does anyone have any experience with this?     Thanks in advance

If you are using desktop software, go into Forms Mode and review the Schedule B.   When you bring up Schedule B, you will also see it shows a smart worksheet for interest income and a smart worksheet for dividend income.   See if you can get a clue there as to what you are experiencing.   Also check for typos, such as transposed figures, incorrect decimal point or comma, etc.

Thank you @LeticiaF1, that is what I probably have to do. But I'm curious, why TurboTax can't fix it? There must some software support, it's not a free version. That's the reason I bought TurboTax, because I thought I'd be able to import and don't have to enter everything manually.

rejected because my social security and husband and I filed separately but put married...   Are you saying that you each wanted to file married filing separately?  But one tax return reports married filing jointly?     Or, are you saying something else?  Please clarify.   If one partner has already filed married filing separately and the second tax return is reporting married filing jointly, the second tax return may reject because the Social Security numbers of both partners are reported on each tax return.  The IRS knows that the first partner has already filed an income tax return.
After I manually entered my dividend and interest income on Turbotax 2025, wrong totals appeared on summary page. Is there a software problem?

It's not uncommon to take longer than 21 days.  Some returns require more processing.   Here are some things to check:   First, if you efiled, be sure your efiled return was accepted.   If using Online TurboTax, you can check at the Tax Home page.   If that showed your return was accepted, you can track your Federal refund at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool: https://www.irs.gov/refunds If you filed a paper return by mail, it can take up to 4 weeks just to show up in that tool.   The FAQ below tells how to check on a state refund.   When you scroll down further there, you will see a link for your state.   FAQ:  How do I track my state refund? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...

The IRS issues most refunds from e-filed returns in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review. To check the status of your refund:   Check your e-file status. If it's been accepted, track your refund at the IRS Where's My Refund? site. You'll need your Social Security number or ITIN, filing status, and the exact amount of your refund to check your status, which you'll find on the first screen after signing in to TurboTax. If you mailed your return, wait 4 weeks after mailing your return before using the tool. If it's rejected, fix your return and file it again. If it's pending, wait until your return is accepted.   If it's been more than 21 days since your e-filed return was accepted, you can call the IRS directly to check on your refund status. @user17742261769  Or since the Desktop program can do unlimited returns you can do test returns.   Do a MFS return for each of you.  Go up to File-New tax return.   I think that might be better than the What-If worksheet.   Be sure to save the returns with different names, go to File-Save As.  I also put the word TEST in the name.
