Please review these steps for entering Statement A (QBI Pass-Through Entity Reporting) that came with Schedule K-1 and provides specific information for Line 17 Code V. Note especially Step 3, which can cause the message you have seen.   When entering your K-1, check that it has Box 17 Code V. You don't need to enter any amount for Code V.  Continue with the interview (this may be several screens later) until you see "We see you have Section 199A information." Check the box that applies (usually the first option - income comes from this partnership). On the page "We need some information about your 199A income," be sure to check the first box and enter at least one type of income. Check any other boxes that appear on Statement A and enter the related amount. Be sure to complete the entire interview, especially the question "Do you want to provide more info about [partnership] in case it's needed later?" You are not finished until you return to the K-1 summary page.

We added 2 assets to our rental property:  1) HVAC - $5100 2) Insulation in the attic - $5500   We know that we can't expense them since it's not under 2500 or total under $10,000.  But I don't know which asset category to choose. I ended up choosing general tools/machines/equipment for the HVAC, and it's classified as 7-year asset. Is this correct or which category should I choose?   As for the insulation in the attic, which category should I choose so that it gets the correct asset year?   Much appreciated.

Manual entry takes a long time and prone to errors.  I do taxes with my wife, I do the homework and she puts most of it in.  I always check the numbers to see the download was correct but it prevents errors.  Its not the bank, they clearly say TT is allowed.

To enter state-exempt interest in TurboTax (1099-INT Box 8 or 1099-DIV Box 12), enter the form data, then look for a follow-up screen asking if the interest is from a specific state or "More than one state" . Select your state for that portion to ensure it is not taxed on your state return, and label remaining amounts as "More than one state".
Thank you. It's just ridiculous.

Yes, that would be the problem.  You have to sign onto your 2025 account using the exact same User ID and Password used to create the account.   Your screenshot was for a 2024 amended tax return.  The 2024 amended tax return can only be printed, signed, dated and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.

Another user who had a problem downloading/installing the State program found this solution:   Close the TT program.   Re-opened and registered the product  Went to download state at the end of federal review. Selected state and it downloaded!!   Here's another user's solution:   Force quit the application  Reopened it and went to the menu tab labeled as TURBOTAX Clicked on Download state and it worked If you are encountering the issue that the button you need to select to finish, such as to Pay for your state e-filing, doesn't appear on your screen, you can either adjust the size of your screen, try a different device, or hook up a larger monitor to your device in order to access the button. This issue with paying for the state e-file has come up in the past for Mac users.    One user suggested rotating the screen view on the laptop (Mac) to submit the payment and then rotated it back. On the Mac, open System Preferences. Hold down the Command and Option keys and click Display. It'll give you an option to rotate the screen.    To adjust your screen size in Windows, right-click the desktop, select Display settings, and adjust the Scale (100%-500%) or Display resolution under "Scale and layout". For Mac, go to System Preferences > Displays to change resolution.

Just to clarify, if I prepared the 1099 R like what will come in 2027 I would put 7,600 in box 1 and $350 in box 2.     When I go to easy step they ask how much of the excess I withdraw timely.  I answer $7,250.  So they come back and ask for another $180 withdrawal.  The calculation is circular.   If I answer the question with $7,600 (excess + other income) it will work but I do not think that is correct to do it that way.

If you are asking if you can cancel your estimated tax payment, you may be able to cancel the transaction if it hasn't been processed, but if it's too late, the IRS will likely refund the double payment automatically.     If you used IRS Direct Pay for your estimated tax payments, use the "Look Up a Payment" feature on the IRS website to cancel up to two business days before the payment date. For IRS direct pay, you have until two business days before the payment date to cancel.    You can use these links:  IRS Direct Pay    Direct Pay help   If the payment is scheduled and you cannot cancel online, you could try contacting your bank to stop payment.   Do not file an amended return to fix this, as it may delay the refund of your overpayment   Please return to Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.
