As Doninga mentioned, there is one number associated with your TurboTax account. You can change that number using the steps listed here.

In TurboTax Deluxe for Mac, the inability to save and close the program usually happens if the software is still processing or if there is an issue saving your file. Check the following: 1. Wait for processing: Sometimes TurboTax is finalizing calculations or saving data in the background. 2. Look for saved files: TurboTax saves your return as a .tax2025 or similar file in your Documents or chosen folder. 3. Close open windows: Make sure all data entry windows or forms are closed before trying to save and exit. 4. Check for software updates: Ensure you have the latest TurboTax updates installed for Mac. The software doesn't use another file type for saving your tax return, but your return is saved in the file you last opened or created.   @shippersm
What do you mean?  There is only one phone number associated with your TurboTax account and only one phone number is entered on your tax return.
OK, I guess TT just uses the first person on the tax return for the K-1 information. I can manually update the name and SSN so it matches the issued form.  Thank you!

It sounds like you may have entered an estimated payment and forgotten to choose the state, or entered an estimate with a value of $0, which instead should be blank. ( Deductions and Credits > Deductions & Credits Summary > Estimates and Other Taxes Paid > Estimated Tax Payments > State estimated taxes for 2025).   If that is not helpful, please clarify your question, where are you seeing this error?  Can you provide some more more details about what we can help you with?
where do you change the telephone number for a spouse?

The review screen in TurboTax shows Vehicle Registration Fees separately below Additional Deductions and the Standard Deduction because these fees may qualify as an itemized deduction related to personal property tax.    This deduction is specific because it's based on the portion of your vehicle registration fee that is a tax based on the vehicle's value, not just a flat fee. It differs from the standard deduction and most additional deductions, which is why it receives separate line presentation.    TurboTax highlights this deduction to ensure you can review it distinctly since it can affect itemized deductions even when you take the standard deduction. This line is special because it relates to a particular tax rule, unlike other general expenses.   The difference in the Vehicle Registration Fee deduction between tax years 2024 and 2025 when taking the standard deduction likely stems from changes in how the portion of the fee based on vehicle value is assessed or reported.    The deductible portion must be value-based and assessed annually to qualify. It is possible that in 2024, you paid a value-based fee portion that qualified for a deduction, but in 2025, that fee portion was either waived, calculated differently, or not present, resulting in a $0 deduction shown. Since you took the standard deduction both years, the vehicle registration fee's deductible portion may not affect your overall tax benefit but appears in detail when value-based and assessed annually. Differences in state or local fee structures from one year to the next can cause this inconsistency.

To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954.   Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities.  There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.   TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

MY STATE REFUND WAS LESS THAN I EXPECTED The state will send you a letter explaining the change.  TurboTax does not get any feedback from your state after your return is accepted, so no one at TT knows why your state refund was less.   Did you owe back taxes, child support, or student loans?  Traffic fines, etc.?     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0

To resolve this issue, you can try these things:   Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu. Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website. Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms. Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit." Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.

"I wish it were true that you could itemize for Maryland but not Federal, but marylandcomptroller article=KB0010023  says Under current Maryland law, if you take the standard deduction the federal level, you cannot itemize at the Maryland level."   That's correct.  I didn't say otherwise.  You have been permitted to take the standard deduction for Maryland if you itemized federal, so I'm not sure why TurboTax would have previously forced you to itemize Maryland taxes whenever you itemized federal.  I was able to create such a scenario with 2020 TurboTax, but only if I forced federal to be itemized even though the federal standard deduction was lower.  In that case I think TurboTax should have chosen to use the Maryland standard deduction.  With 2020 TurboTax I was not able to find a scenario where the Maryland standard deduction was was higher if I allowed TurboTax to choose on its own to itemize federal.  Still, I can't imagine a scenario where it would made sense to force federal to itemize unless the Maryland itemized deductions would be higher than the standard deduction, so prior to 2025 I can't think of a reason that it would make sense to take the Maryland standard deduction when itemizing federal (except possibly in the case of Married Filing Separately; I didn't investigate that).

You will need to do a couple of extra steps to get the prior depreciation worksheet to print when using TurboTax Online:   Sign in to your prior-year return Click Amend the return (this allows you to access the Print Center) Click Print Center on the left side of the screen Select Print, save, or preview the return and choose to Include Government and TurboTax Worksheets   This choice should include the depreciation report that shows the details of everything being depreciated on your return.     Additionally, if you have not started the 2025 return, you can try to download the 2024 tax data file to import it into your 2025 TurboTax program.  Then, you will not need to recreate all of the depreciation entries.   While logged in to the 2024 tax return, go to Tax Home.  Scroll to Tax Returns and Documents.  Then click download .tax file.   This file can then be imported into your 2025 TurboTax desktop program to give you a head start.   @tax6666

Yes, you should amend your 2025 Federal tax return to document the removal of the excess contribution, even though you incurred a loss and the withdrawal was made before the April 15 deadline.    You do not need to wait until you receive the 1099-R from Fidelity in 2027, instead, you should enter a substitute 1099-R on your 2025 amendment using the actual amount you received ($985). Because you will have already reported this on your 2025 amendment, you will not need to report anything regarding this withdrawal on your 2026 return. Keep the  1099-R you receive in 2027 for your records.
