I would like to transfer medical expenses to spouse
Thank you for taking your time to review my doc. It is a relief and i really appreciate your help. Best wishes.
OK, thanks for your feedback. Looks like it is the best choice to claim him as a dependent and get the $500 dependent credit at least.  Thanks.  🙂

Hi - I do not see the question "I need to adjust taxable interest" on the 1099-INT screens. All I see is Boxes 1 and 3 with the checkbox "My form has info in other boxes (this is uncommon)". I check the box because I do have a bond premium in Box 11. However, there is no input field labeled "accrued interest paid". it is not under uncommon situations. Where do I see "I need to adjust taxable interest"?
Just report the K-1 info on my 1040 return.  Thanks.

To enter a gain from the sale of personal items on eBay in TurboTax Deluxe 2025 Desktop and report it on Schedule D, follow these steps: 1. Go to the Investments Section: Navigate to the Federal Taxes tab, then select Wages & Income and find the section for Investments and Savings. Select Start or Add Investments. 2. Enter Investment Sales: Choose to enter sales one by one. 3. Select Investment Type: Even though these are personal items, enter them as a sale of property, such as collectibles or other capital assets. 4. Enter Sale Details: On the sale details screen, enter the description, date acquired, date sold, sale proceeds (after fees), and your cost basis (original cost plus any related expenses). 5. Schedule D Reporting: TurboTax will automatically generate Schedule D and Form 8949 to report your gain. Since your gain is about $500 and no 1099-K was issued, reporting the sale this way correctly reflects the capital gain on your tax return.
I'm logging into TurboTax online so I assume it is the latest.   It should show up on the Credits page on my MD State form. But there is no option to enter it.

Turbo tax is ignoring "Section 1256 Option Contracts" at the bottom of import Form 1099-B from Fidelity. I tried to enter it manually but it is very confusing. I went to "Contracts and Straddles". There are 4 options: - Mixed Straddle election - Straddle-by-straddle identification election - Mixed straddle account election - Net Section 1256 contracts loss election   There is no instructions on which one to choose. I picked the last one based on some online post. Now, there are again more 5 options to choose from with no help. I choose "Section 1256 contracts marked to market". I entered Broker, description (enter amount here since my form had amount instead of description), Gain and Losses (#11) and click Done.  Now it asks "Amount to be Carried Back", which I have no idea what it means. These are losses I incurred in 2025 on closed contracts. If I leave it blank, no forms show up in my "Investments and Savings" section It will be so much better if Turbotax could auto import this and we don't have to worry about all these details

No, if you are not claiming your daughter as a dependent on your tax return, you cannot deduct the medical expenses you paid for her on your tax return.

If I earned money in another state as an independent contractor doing a one day job, does that count as "making money in another state"?  I am a musician from Massachusetts. I occasionally play a gig in New Hampshire and receive payment that generates a 1099 from that state.  Do I need to file an NH return? ditto for Rhode Island.   Thanks for your help!

You can try one of these: 1. You can remove the Michigan State Return in the State Taxes section, find the list of states you've started. Click the Delete/Trash Can icon next to Michigan. This tells TurboTax you are not filing a Michigan return. 2. Go to the Personal Info tab and find the section about "Other State Income." If asked "Did you make money in another state?", answer No. This stops TurboTax from automatically generating a Michigan state tax interview.

I amended my 2024 tax return to change the filing status from married filing separately to married filing jointly through TurboTax. When I submitted the amended federal return, it was almost immediately rejected for these reasons:    What happened: IND-027-02 - If 'PINTypeCd' in the Return Header has the value "Self-Select On-Line" and 'SpouseBirthDt' has a value, then 'SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' or 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or 'SpouseIdentityProtectionPIN' must have a value.   The state return for Missouri was accepted. When logging back in to the platform, I am seeing nowhere that I can go and correct the error. Will the amended return instead need to be mailed instead of e-filed? Please help

Sch K Box 17 Code V has been selected but no Section 199A income has been entered on Statement A error.   I have entered the number in the income section for schedule K-1 but the error kept coming up despite it shows a value. Please help.
Further to this: I've revisited my 2024 W2 and don't even see Code W(HSA) listed there in box 12.
