My nys return was accepted at 2/19, but nothing show up in nys tax refund status and customer service does not know why.   I rexeived federal tax refund though.   Does anyone have same issue with me?   I will not use Turbo tax again, customer service is not good!   Any thought or feedback?
Appreciate your response, LetitiaF1, but your screenshot does not represent what my desktop version of Premiere TT looks like. Sooooo ????
Please clarify the situation you are having with entering your 529 contributions.  What version of TurboTax are you using?  Is there an error message?

If your saved return from last year doesn't include an Asset Entry Worksheet, you can also use the Depreciation and Amortization Report (see below). This is a TurboTax schedule and not part of your official IRS return. However, the information you need to re-enter the asset is included on this report.   Note that deleting an asset from your Rental Property will not change other information entered for that property or anywhere else on your return.    Please be reassured that our tech support team is aware of your experience and is working on a solution. We'll let you know when an update is released.

First make sure that you need to amend your return.  You need to amend your return if there is information missing or incorrect on your original return.  When you amend only correct the information that is incorrect, do not change anything with the rest of the return.     If you filed your original return with TurboTax, then you need to sign in to your account:   On the home screen, scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and  select the year you want to amend Select Amend (change) return, then  Amend using TurboTax Online If you're told to amend your return via TurboTax Desktop, follow the steps for TurboTax CD/Download below instead. On the screen OK, let's get a kickstart on your amended return, select the reason(s) you're amending and Continue. When you reach Here's the info for your amended federal return, select Start next to the info you need to change. Continue through the screens, make the changes you need to make, and carefully answer the remaining questions to finish amending your return. If you did not file your original return with TurboTax, then you will need to download the 2023 program, recreate your original return, complete it, then start an amended return.     Open the TurboTax Desktop software for the year you're amending. Under Need to Amend a Filed Return?, select Amend a Filed Return. Select Amend for the return you need to amend. If the return you need doesn’t appear as an option, select Find a Tax File to find and load the return. On the Do you need to change anything else screen, select Update next to the info you need to change. Continue through the screens, make the changes you need to make, and carefully answer the remaining questions to finish amending your return. Don’t forget to select Save As (or Duplicate on Mac) from the File menu when you save a copy of your amended return. This will preserve the tax return you originally filed. Give the file a different name from the original, like [tax year]_amended_tax_return_Smith.   How to File an Amended Tax Return with the IRS How do I amend my federal tax return for a prior year? Do I need to amend?
If the federal tax return was not e-filed then the state tax return cannot be e-filed.  The state return must be printed and mailed.
Has anyone else been able to enter their 529 contribution on the Maryland form

In TurboTax Desktop, you can add a "Blank Form" and type your explanation, but note that this form doesn't get submitted when e-filing. The IRS won’t see your attached explanation electronically if you e-file. If the IRS requires a written explanation, you typically must mail it with your paper return. TurboTax e-file doesn't support submitting additional attachments like explanations.   In your case, if the payer underreported income on your 1099-MISC, as long as you report the right income amount on your return you  are fulfilling your tax reporting requirement.    By reporting all the income you are compliant and aren't required to send an written explanation and can e-file your return.    To report income that is not self-employment income and not reported on a 1099-MISC in TurboTax Desktop, follow these steps: 1. Go to the Federal Taxes section, then Wages & Income. 2. Scroll to Other Common Income and select Start next to Form 1099-MISC or Miscellaneous Income. 3. Enter the income amount manually with accurate details. 4. When asked about the source, select the appropriate option indicating it is nonbusiness income. 5. Follow the prompts to clarify that this income is not related to self-employment. This method allows you to report miscellaneous income correctly in TurboTax Desktop without a 1099-MISC form or self-employment classification.

You should enter the W-2 exactly as it is without changing anything because the IRS will match the W-2 with your tax return. Any changes in state income allocations can be handled on the state returns.   To clarify: what state or states did you live in during 2025?    You will need to file a New York tax return for the wages earned while working in New York, but where you lived while working in NY and where you lived during the rest of the year will determine which state tax returns you need to file.   If you lived in Massachusetts at any point during 2025, you may need to file a resident or part-year MA return. If your W-2 mistakenly withheld MA income or if it will be double taxed by NY and MA, that can be taken care of on the MA return.   Take a look at the My Info area in TurboTax to make sure that you have answered the questions correctly about your residency in 2025 and money earned in other states. That will help generate the correct state tax returns for you to file.   See this TurboTax article about filing returns in multiple states for more information.

My dependent Kid received 1098-T for her bright Futures (Florida). Box 5 > Box 1. ALL the scholarship went towards fees and Tuition. Box 1 is $1000 dollar less than Box 5 . Turbo Tax is not letting me enter in 1098T form,. It says I don't qualify for the education credit. How do I report it? Additionally, the discrepancy of $1000 that went towards other fees, how will they show up in tax form (other income)? I have received 1099-Q (For 529) being the account holder as well as recipient ,100% went to qualified Housing and food (Approx $8000). So not reporting 1099-Q.
