What kind of income are you trying to report??? Please explain what you mean by a "distribution code" for Box 7 of a 1099-DIV. Box 7 of a 1099-DIV is for "Foreign Tax Paid." Are you by any chance trying to enter a 1099-DIV by mistake in the 1099-R section (retirement income?) Please explain what type of 1099 form you received, and also in what interview section you are trying to enter it.

Code TT in Box 12 of your W-2 is used to report "Qualified Overtime Compensation." This amount represents the "and-a-half" portion of your overtime pay which is now tax-free at the federal level (up to certain income limits) and qualifies for that deduction.
Do not enter the Box 12 "TT" line (in the W-2 entry screen).
Continue through the "W-2 Interview": Finish entering all other boxes ($1, 2, 16$, etc.) and click Continue
Proceed through the interview screens until the program asks, "Do any of these uncommon situations apply to this W-2?", and Select the box for Overtime pay.
Enter the dollar amount that was printed next to Code TT on your W-2.
This should cause the program to generate Schedule 1-A (the form used to calculate the overtime deduction and making sure that the amount is subtracted from your taxable income on your 1040, even if the Box 12 dropdown was missing the "W" code).

RogerD1, isn't it possible though to make a non-deductible Traditional IRA contribution, and then do a backdoor Roth conversion on the same income used to max out a Solo Roth401k? I.e., suppose my net earned income from a Sole Proprietorship is $20,000 after subtracting 1/2 of SE taxes. I then make a solo Roth 401K contribution of $20,000. My investment income puts me over the limit for contributing to a Roth IRA. Can't I still contribute the maximum amount to a Traditional IRA (non-deductible), and do a backdoor Roth conversion?

It sounds like you are in the right place to enter the 1099-MISC, in other income. You should answer that it did not involve the intent to earn money, otherwise it seems that this income is business related.
Here is how to report the 1099-MISC:
Navigate to Federal > Wages & Income > Other Common Income> Form 1099-MISC> Start or Revisit
Enter the 1099-MISC as printed, Continue
Describe the reason for this 1099-MISC: "FMLA" or similar.
Select None of these uncommon situations apply, then continue
Select No, it didn’t involve work that's like your main job and continue
The next screen asks how often you get income from this. Select only the year of this specific 1099-MISC, 2025.
Next, select No, it didn't involve the intent to earn money
You can check this in TurboTax Online by navigating to Tax Tools on the left of your screen, choose Tools, then View Tax Summary. On the left of the screen, select Preview my 1040, then verify the amount is included on Schedule 1, Line 8z "Other Income."

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities. There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
To track your state refund:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr
If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing

.
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst
If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act. Do not expect your refund before early March
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US
Note: “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”. TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing. Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing. If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.

DID YOU E-FILE?
Did you e-file? Did you go through all three steps of the FILE section and click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted or rejected your federal e-file. If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.
Check your e-file status:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
What does it say in your account? Does it show that the return was accepted? Or does it say something else---like "rejected," "printed," or "ready to mail?”
If you discover or realize that your e-file was rejected, or just never filed, you will need to print it, sign and date it in ink, and file it by mail now, since e-filing is closed for returns for tax year 2024.
