Dear Leticia, Thanks much for your response. LeticiaF1 (Employee Tax Expert) posted a new reply in Deductions & credits on March 8, 2026 2:03 PM: Re: WISCONSIN SCHOOL PROPERTY TAX CREDIT To claim your property taxes you must qualify for the credit, you must be a Wisconsin resident, own or rent a primary home, and have paid property taxes for or rent. You cannot claim the credit if you are also claiming the Veterans and Surviving Spouses Property Credit. If you qualify, make sure that you are entering the information properly. To review your entries,go to your Wisconsin return, then credits and taxes, and then select the School Property Tax Credit. Once you enter it, there is a summary page that shows all of your Wisconsin credit and taxes. If after you review your entries the program does not calculate the credit: Go out of your program and go back in. Clear your cache and cookies. Try a different Web Browser. If you are using TurboTax Desktop make sure all updates have been run on your program. You can do this by clicking on "Online" in the black bar across the top of your TurboTax screen. And then select "Check for Updates". If you have any additional questions or information regarding this please return to TurboTax Community and we would be glad to help. Those instructions followed did not correct the issue to provide entry of the $300 credit due in TurboTax.

TurboTax can only give an estimate for when the refund will be issued.
Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.
Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

I already know all that you explained above as I prepared taxes for over 30 years before I retired from a CPA firm. The fact is taxable social security wages are not carrying over to the taxable column at all! And as I explained in my original post, I wasted a lot of time figuring out the reason why & posting it to help others. Turbo tax actually changed my no answer to a yes when doing the final calculation, regarding whether I lived abroad at any time during the year. Obviously there is a huge problem with this particular question, set to default to yes rather than no, as there is a huge number of people posting having this problem on many different sites & not knowing how to fix it! And I'm sure many people do not review their returns and just rely on Turbo Tax running its check and showing no errors. I had no errors when I ran my check, but always review my returns as everyone should do. Many people are in for a huge shock when they get a tax notice from IRS showing they owe a huge amount of taxes due to the social security taxable wages not carrying to the taxable column on the return. Its such a huge problem, with all the postings, and the fact that Turbo Tax does not make a change to the program to change the default to no, it makes it seem that Turbo Tax is trying to create this problem so more people are forced to use the expert version! I've used Turbo Tax for 8 years & had no problems the first 6 years (and recommended many people to use this tax program). Last year, was the first year with a big Turbo Tax problem because my return was changed to the expert version without my knowledge or approval nor any notification! It was not until after I ran the calculation with no errors, it wanted to run an expert check in order to file the returns! I called & spoke to a manager & they said they could fix it but I would have to completely redo the tax return. I did not want to do that so I was refunded the difference on what I should have to pay without expert advice. Then I called TurboTax support to get my file changed back to the version I had always used in the past, without expert advise for 2026. After U explained what happened last year without my knowledge or approval, I was told by the expert that Turbo Tax changed everyone's returns last year without any users knowledge or approval nor notification! And now this year, with this question on whether you lived abroad anytime during the year, set to default to yes (also confirmed by a Turbo Tax Expert) instead of no is not a good tactic for Turbo Tax trying to generate more income for itself. TurboTax has always had high ratings in the past & I agreed with those ratings. But I'm becoming skeptical on recommending anyone to use it now unless you have experience in preparing tax returns. But TurboTax has built its business on being user friendly even to those who do not have experience. TurboTax PLEASE go back to what you you've been known for in all years prior to 2024, a great tax service.

Yes, you only need a Form 1099-R when money is taken out of a retirement plan. So unless you also took a distribution after the 401k was transferred to the new provider, then you only need the one Form 1099-R.
This information will be reported on your return, but will not be a taxable transaction if the full amount of the 401k was transferred directly from one provider to the other one without you actually receiving the payout in hand.

Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted? Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.
You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".
After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

Let's start with this: How are you filing a return for the LLC?
Unless you are living in a community property state, you must prepare the LLC return on form 1065. This is not part of Turbotax personal tax version, you have to separately buy Turbotax for business. You do not put the LLC on a schedule C. As part of the 1065, you will prepare a K-1 statement for each member that lists their profit, loss, expenses, etc. The two K-1s are entered on your personal form 1040 return. The K-1 would have the details to support the amount of the SE 401k. Note that form 1065 is due March 15, not April 15, unless you get an extension, and the late fee is $200 per month per member.
The only time you can file a 2-person LLC on schedule C is if the only two members are spouses (no-one else), and you live in a community property state. In that case you must prepare 2 schedule Cs, one for each spouse, listing exactly half (50%) of the income and expenses (it's 50/50 because of community property laws).
My guess is that you are reporting the business wrong if the program thinks only one spouse works.

Since your spouse isn't considered a US person for income tax purposes—neither meeting the substantial presence test nor the green card test—your spouse isn't required to file a US tax return.
You have the choice to file your income tax return using the "Married Filing Separately" status. However, if you choose this option, you won't be able to file electronically; you must mail the return to the IRS and write "NRA" in the space designated for your spouse's Social Security number.

Only one tax return can be filed using the TurboTax online editions. If you try and file another tax return with the same Social Security number it will be rejected by TurboTax.
