There are over a dozen kinds of 1099's and you have not mentioned what kind you are referring to.
A 1099NEC is typically issued by an individual or business for whom you performed work as an independent contractor, so seek a copy from them if you did not save yours. Many of the other types of 1099's are issued by banks, brokerages and other financial institutions from which you can seek copies. SSA1099 comes from Social Security.
What kind of 1099 are you missing?
ALL of your 2025 income must be entered on the same tax return.

Use forms view. Go to line 25a on form 5695. Manually select "no". Turbotax, for some reason, is leaving this checkbox blank. Resubmit. Worked for me.

Does Turbotax answer the question that there is a software problem with matching TIN or EIN with W2G's. Worked last year with the same information I am using and talked the party for the W2G said that the information on the W2G is currect. Trying to get an answer if Turbotax admits this is a software problem with Turbotax. I had to mail in my return to the IRS and now I need to wait 6 - 8 weeks for a refund. This relates to Turbotax on Windows 11 desktop.

You will select "No, the box is blank." A 401k isn't an IRA.
If you receive the distribution of the excess deferral and earnings by April 15th then please note for the Tax Year 2026 tax filing due April 15, 2027:
2025 Forms 1099-R will be issued reporting the excess.
Form 1099-R with Code P in box 7 can be ignored since you already added it to your wages on your 2025 return with the 1099-R.
However, the earnings on Form 1099-R with Code 8 in box 7 should be reported in 2026.

If you are unable to enter your Box 14 of your Form W-2 into TurboTax you can try the steps listed below to address this. Make sure all of your entries have a description and amount If you are using "Other" select "Other - not classified" Make sure there are no blank rows and if there are delete all blank rows Delete any blank spaces in your entries and if you are using "PRE TAX" use "PRETAX" instead (no blank spaces) Avoid any special characters If this does not help and you are using the online version, clear your browser's cache and cookies, and try a different browser. Click here for How do I delete cookies? Click here for How to clear your cache. If the error persists, delete the Form W-2 and re-enter it in TurboTax. If you still can't proceed with entering your Form W-2 try skipping Box 14 if it is not required. Often Box 14 is used for informational purposes. If you used TurboTax Online you can: Click on "Tax Tools" in the left panel of your TurboTax screen Select "Tools" Click on "Delete a Form" Scroll down the list of your forms to find Form W-2 Click on the trash can to the right of your form to delete it If you used TurboTax Desktop, you can: Click on "Forms" in the top right of your TurboTax screen to switch to "Forms Mode" In your left panel of your TurboTax screen find Form W-2 Click on "Delete Form" at the bottom of the form Click on "Yes" to confirm the deletion To get back to the screens where you can re-enter your Form W-2 you can: Click on "Search" in the top right of your TurboTax screen. Type "W-2" in the search bar. Click on the link "Jump to W-2" Click here for How do I manually enter my W-2? If you have additional information or questions regarding this, please return to Community and we would be glad to help.

To figure out your RMD, look at how much money was in your account on December 31 of the prior year. Then divide that amount by the applicable IRS life expectancy factor from the Uniform Lifetime Table.
If you received a pension, it generally satisfies the requirements for RMD. Most pensions are set up to automatically pay you at least the required minimum amount each year, so you typically don’t have to calculate an RMD yourself.
However, if you also have other retirement accounts like a traditional IRA or 401(k), those each have their own RMD rules and must be checked separately.
For more information, see

This would be self-employment income reported on Schedule C Business Income and Expenses.
You are essentially running a cleaning business as a sole proprietor. You will use your own records to determine the total amount of income you received. It will be reported as 'cash' income. Then, you can also claim expenses for supplies and other items you purchased yourself in order to perform the work.
Take a look at the following TurboTax help articles for more guidance and to get started:

I am getting the same message today March 1. I am using Mac OS version desktop and all updates have been occurring regularly. What should I do here? I assume turbotax will not allow electronic filing with this "error" cited during the smart review. Any other thoughts especially from Intuit? I did not have any problems with this issue last year when I completed a 529 to Roth transfer. Thanks

You received an email that we cannot see that tells you why your tax return was rejected.
Some rejected returns can be fixed and re-filed. Some have “un-fixable” reasons for the rejection and have to be mailed instead.
What is the rejection code or rejection message?
If it was rejected for AGI—-your 2024 AGI might not be in the IRS system if you filed late. Try using zero instead.
If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year. The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.
https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/agi/help/where-do-i-correct-my-agi-in-turbotax-online/00/26311
If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.

TurboTax Online updates for new tax laws and other features, but they are done automatically in your web browser. You do not have to manually update like in TurboTax desktop software.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop and get the "snag" message:
Make sure the software is updated. See this help article for instructions to run a manual update.
Reboot your device.
Check your firewall and antivirus settings. Make sure they aren't blocking any feature of the software. Please see this help article for more information.
Clear cache and cookies
If you are still having trouble, you might also try these steps:
Run the Windows System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.
Delete the downloaded file and download TurboTax again from InstallTurboTax.com. Sometimes files get corrupted during the download process.
Restart your computer in Selective Startup Mode, and then install TurboTax.
Install TurboTax on a different computer.
If you have tried ALL of the troubleshooting steps and the issue is still not resolved:
See this help article for instructions on how to contact TurboTax customer support depending on which product you are using.

The QMID code is supplied by the manufacturer of the windows. It should be on documentation that they gave you to indicate that the windows you had installed would qualify for a Residential Energy Credit. If you no longer have this documentation or can't locate it, you should contact the manufacturer to get the information that you need in order to claim the Residential Energy Credit for your windows.

I tried entering one of my 1099-B forms one-by-one rather than as a summary of multiple transactions, but the AMD still did not appear on Schedule B. Is this a bug?

I'm helping my son with his taxes, and I ran into an issue. He is young and lives in an apartment, so his taxes are generally pretty simple. An acquaintance of his asked him to help out at his business for a few hours one day. His friend's business is building custom computers for gaming. He paid my son $100. The income was reported on a 1099-NEC. My son had no involvement in this business other than the 1/2 day he spent helping the guy catch up. I'm a little unsure of how to fill out the Form C. In the "Name of Proprietor", TT currently has my son's name and next to it, my son's social security number. Is this correct, or should it be the guy who paid him and that person's SS#? Or would it be the business name and business TIN? Is this block intended for the person who received income, or the person who paid him? For "A", I put "building computers". For "B", I entered code 334110. I got this from the IRS website. For "C", I put the Business Name For "D", do I put the Payer's TIN? For "F", Accounting method. I put Cash, since I assume this is asking how my son was paid.
