Yes. That is autofill from CRA. You are at the mercy of TurboTax. I feel your pain!

Agree this error seems to be in the Forms method - I went through the Q&A and it seemed to clean it up.....but the issue i see is definitely what I would consider a "Bug" in the software - now that they have changed where you answer the basic questions (full time, felony conviction, leads to a degree) etc....   This issue should be cleaned up by Intuit....They continue to struggle with their education crediting for some reason..

I am a dependent and can't seem to enter my 1098T into TurboTax even though I have unearned taxable income from excess scholarships and grants (>20K) used for room and board, etc.  The prompts ask if I will be claimed as a dependent on parents return and if I have a 1098T but it never asks to input the 1098T info.  Where and how do I enter the unearned taxable income into TurboTax?

Thanks to all with a reply.   I believe my 1041 return was corrupted after I transferred the 2024 return  to the 2025 return.   I decided to create a new 1041 from scratch and although it took 40 minutes (I already had all the data neatly organized)  my tax liability went from owing $2396 to getting a $993 refund. My new tax rate is 17.3%.   The Turbo Business version is very poor compared to the standard 1040 versions IMHO.  I can't import from Schwab, etc.   I will ALWAYS manually create my 1041's in the future.
The form makes no sense as it is looking for offsets

How old are you (an awful question, I know)? You will not see the screen about the Charitable Donation in the 1099-R interview, if you are not at least 70 1/2 years of age on the day of the distribution.   The screen is titled "Do any of these situations apply to you?" The particular line to look for is "I transferred all or part of this money directly to charity."   If you don't see this line, then TurboTax does not think that you were 70 1/2 by the end of the year.

I don't know what you mean by autofill, but Turbo Tax pulled the T4 data directly from the CRA. At the end of the whole process, when I go to file the return, Turbo Tax gives the error about box 16/16a and does not allow me to Netfile the return.   I tried deleting the second T4 so that Turbo Tax would recalculate everything and "see" that box 16 was filled in the first T4, then manually re-entered the second T4, and it immediately gives the same error regarding box 16/16a - only this time I can't continue past the T4 without "fixing" the error.

Yes, you are correct. You can prepare a superseded return in TurboTax Business. Do not check the "amended" box. However, the return will need to be printed and filed by mail. As you stated, you will need to write "Superseded" at the top of all forms before you mail them.   @hereinhelena

I found a workaround. TT online was skipping form 1116 because our foreign tax paid was less than $600 MFJ.  I edited a 1099-DIV to have foreign taxes over $600. Then TT Online took me through the full dialog for form 1116 and I was able to enter the passive loss carryover.  Then I edited the 1099-DIV again to correct the foreign tax paid amount. Then TT kept form 1116 with the correct foreign taxes values and the carryover.  it would have been nice if TT had given me the option to fill out and submit form 1116 even though it wasn’t required.
