At the part while doing my tax return where I compare last year's return to this year's return the numbers your showing for last year doesn't match the numbers on last year's actual return. I asked for a call back on your service and when the call came there was no one on the other end. I waited until the other end hung up . I called that number back and the person that answered said they were a tech and while I was trying to explain why I called he rudely said I'm not a tax expert and hung up on me. I used the contact us to explain all of the above and have not heard back from any one even though they said that someone would read what I wrote and get back with me.  I'm now thinking of having my last years return transferred to another tax preparer service and use them.

The issues with entries on Form 8283 and donations of stock have been reported by other users and have been elevated for investigation. It has since been confirmed as an issue by our development team.     We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and you can sign up here for updates.    In the alternative, as long as the dollar amounts are correct, you could also choose to continue to file.   See this TurboTax tips article for more information about Form 8283. @fla2025  @sallyawalk  @vasto7
Can you clarify why this is concerning to you? @rolehausen

This is so sad that you do it that way, all about the money, not helping the people. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do before AI eliminates your services.

It depends.  it is likely that this is the result of how different types of income are taxed or credits.    Even with a taxable income of $112,000, your final tax liability could be lower than expected if a large portion of your income comes is long-term capital gains or qualified dividends. These types of income have a favorable rate, which you can find here.   Another possibility is that you have tax credits, such as the Child Tax Credit or credits for energy-efficient home improvements and electric vehicles. These credits reduce the amount you owe dollar-for-dollar after the initial tax is calculated. For example, if you have one child, that would reduce your tax by $2,200.   You can check how the tax was computed by reviewing your 1040, in TurboTax Online navigate to Tax Tools on the left of your screen, choose Tools, then View Tax Summary. On the left of the screen, select Preview my 1040.

You need to Amend your Federal return first (even if you're not actually changing it), since the State return takes data from the Federal.  Step through your Federal return, and you should be asked if you want to amend your state return too.  Then step through the State return.     Make sure you saved a copy of the originally filed return and your previous amendment.  If you're amending from the first amendment, make sure you have the right data file loaded up.  Confirm that what you want to amend in your state return doesn't require any change in your Federal return too.     Here's more info on How to Amend a Prior Year State Return.   @RealGenius
Except the adjusted Interest does not flow to the NJ State 1040. Also you can not edit it on the NJ Adjustment Page.

If the Form 1099-K was issued in your TIN, you should report the amount of the form on your return.   You have to be 18 years of age to sell on eBay, as the platform requires users to enter into a legally binding contract. See eBay's policy here.    If your online auction sales (link is to IRS tips for direct sellers) involve used items and are the equivalent of an occasional garage or yard sale, you generally don't have to report income from those sales, especially if you are selling the items for less than you paid for them. However, if you received a Form 1099-K from eBay, you should account for the dollar amount of sales on your return and separately report the purchase price of the items.   How the sales are treated for tax purposes depends on whether you realized a gain from the sales. If you sold items such as art or collectibles at a profit, report them as Investment Income, where you can enter the date and price originally purchased, and the date of sale and sales price. If you have a business selling items on eBay, you can report the sales on Schedule C.    Please see this TurboTax tips article and this one for more information from TurboTax for eBay sellers.

Go to the personal tab and choose income.
Yes, you are correct. If you have unreimbursed company expenses paid by partners, they are deducted on the partner's personal tax return, on the second page of Schedule E.
