I would like to know if this got resolved... same issue here. SO frustrating. Hour plus on phone with turbotax, went through every troubleshooting option with no solution. They say ask for refund. This does NOT help me at all. I need to do my taxes. WHY are so many people having this problem and why hasn't Intuit fixed it yet? I'm on a mac with latest system software. Operating as administrator Every virus or blocking software is disabled Firewall is disabled Have rebooted computer, modem/router multiple times Have restarted computer multiple times Have uninstalled software and reinstalled (no difference). I download the software from Intuit online (bought code on amazon). When I try to extract the file, it gets to 97-98% then says extraction failed. Once it looked like it may have extracted it, maybe not, but there was a folder on my desktop with 2025 Turbotax name. When I went to open the app, it says app cannot be opened. How can I fix this please? I cannot hardwire the connection so don't ask. But the wireless connection is strong. HELP, ANYONE?

If you want to itemize your New York state deductions, you must enter all your deductions in the federal section of TurboTax, even if you are not itemizing on your federal return. TurboTax will transfer the information to the New York tax section and create the Form 196. If you do not see it, your New York standard deduction is higher.
If you want to check, see How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online?

Thank you for responding. I'm not sure I understand, however. This was a loan for a land purchase, and if I understand right, your answer is about a sale?

Thank you for spelling this out for the idiots at Turbo Tax. They obviously didn't read it because this problem persists in the 2025 tax version.

Using online here. When I clicked to fix mine and continue, it gave me a range of directions to follow. I ended up deleting and redoing the whole 5695 form, and was able to verify on the Tool -> Print Return that my form was then correct. I was able to file a couple hours ago and my federal return was already accepted

You will need to explain what you mean.
If you completed a state tax return it will be e-filed at the same time as the federal tax return.

You want to enter it as a whole number- so 10% would be entered as "10".

Medicaid you receive from the state is not entered on a tax return.
If you did not use the state Marketplace Exchange or healthcare.gov for your health insurance then you would not been issued a Form 1095-A. When asked if you received a Form 1095-A you must answer NO.

@ckwebster Thanks for the clarification -- so hopefully we black sheep desktop users will see the fix Monday as @AnnetteB6 indicated. Obviously, this confirms that the problem was with Turbo Tax all along, despite what customer support claimed.

When using the sales tax estimator, it asks Sales tax rate. If is 10%, should I enter 10 or 0.1? I can see it change the refund estimate. Thank you
