If you are using TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online), and you submitted your return using NETFILE, you can login to the previous year and use ReFILE to add the contributions to your return.   This TurboTax Canada FAQ tells you how you can adjust your return using ReFile: I've filed my tax return.

If you are using the TurboTax download/desktop, make sure that your product is up to date.  You should allow it to run updates when you open the program and it requests updates.  If you have that program open, you can run updates by clicking the word Online in the black banner near the top of the program and select "Check for updates" in the dropdown.   Next, I would recommend deleting the form for the energy credit and starting over with it.   To delete a form in the download/desktop version:   Select Forms on the blue banner near the right edge. Look for Form 5695 and click on it to highlight it. Click Delete Form at the bottom of the page under the form, then select Yes in the pop up.   To delete a form in Online TurboTax:   Click on Tax tools in the left side menu. Click on Tools, then click Delete a form in the Tools Center pop-up. Find Form 5695 in the listing of forms and click the trashcan icon to the right of it Click Yes, delete to get rid of the form. Once you've done that, go back and re-enter the information for the energy credit.  I used the information you had given in some mock tax returns in both the Online and Desktop versions of TurboTax and it correctly limited the credit to a $600 total amount.

Thanks for responding. Ok, the Schedule K-1 brings up the Schedule K-1 worksheet in Forms Mode. If fact, I don't have the Schedule K-1 in Form Mode; I have the worksheet, but not the Schedule K-1. How do I know? When I print out my Federal Tax 1040, no Schedule K-1 shows up! Schedule E, page 2 is there, and guess what that $30 dollars now shows up in Schedule B. So where is my Schedule K-1? Any clue?

This error code TY25_OR_LocalStateWages_OR-034 error in TurboTax usually means there is an issue with reporting your Oregon state wages. This likely involves missing some information in Box 16, 17, 18, or 19 of your W-2. To correct this error, you can try to delete your W-2(s), clear your cache/cookies, and re-enter Form W-2. Pay close attention to your state boxes 16-19.   Also, make sure your zip code is entered correctly (such as 12345 or 12345-1234).   If you used TurboTax Online you can: Click on "Tax Tools" in the left panel of your TurboTax screen Select  "Tools" Click on "Delete a Form" Scroll down the list of your forms to find Form W-2 Click on the trash can to the right of your form to delete it   If you used TurboTax Desktop, you can: Click on "Forms" in the top right of your TurboTax screen to switch to "Forms Mode" In your left panel of your TurboTax screen find Form W-2 Click on "Delete Form" at the bottom of the form Click on "Yes" to confirm the deletion To get back to the screens where you can re-enter your Form W-2 you can: Click on "Search" in the top right of your TurboTax screen. Type "W-2" in the search bar. Click on the link "Jump to W-2" You can also try:  Go out of your program, close your browser and go back in. Clear your cache and cookies. Click here for How do I delete cookies? Click here for How to clear your cache. If you are using a VPN disable it. Try using incognito mode. Try a different web browser, such as Google Chrome or Firefox.    If this does not help you can try deleting your Oregon state return and re-add it to refresh your data.   Click here for How do I delete my state return in TurboTax Online?   Click here for How do I delete my state return in TurboTax Desktop for Windows?   Click here for How do I manually enter my W-2? Yes, this is definitely a bug.   TurboTax is not picking up beginning and ending values of the mortgages.  This information should transfer from last year's return, but it doesn't!  (Note that this info is not supplied on 1098 forms...you must get the information yourself from your mortgage company.  Box 2 of the 1098 is BEGINNING OF YEAR balance.)   I have two mortgages so this matters...one is post-10/13/1987 but pre-12/5/2017 and the other is post 12/15/2017.  (No grandfathered pre-10/13/1987)   You need to override the Deductible Home Mortgage Interest Worksheet in TurboTax.  Zoom to this worksheet and then edit the numbers by EDIT - Override.  (Or Ctrl-D).  Once you have the average balances correct, the program will figure out the limitation percentage.  (And then you can watch your refund decrease.)
That is the problem - Entering zero does not resolve the Smart Check message. I entered "1" and the message went away but I should not have to do that.

It depends. You will file a South Carolina part-year tax return for the six months you lived in SC in 2025 and will claim the income you earned while living there.   If you did not earn any income while you lived in New York and did not have any NY-source income during the year, you probably do not need to file a 2025 NY part-year tax return.   Here is an article from the NY Department of Tax and Finance that discusses the filing requirement for part-year residents.

Credit amount on 2025 Schedule OR-ASC for code 897 is wrong amount. It shows the maximum $360 allowed, not the percentage I am allowed based on my AGI. I need Turbo Tax to recalculate and fill in correct amount. I think this is a software issue Turbo Tax needs to correct.

I deleted MI-1040CR7 from the tools section as suggested, but TurboTax will not let me e-file without it. It keeps coming up as errors that need to be filed in. I have deleted and restarted multilple times with no success. This has been an issue for years if you are a renter with heat that is included in rent and you don't want to file this credit, and you also can't because you don't have any of the information it is asking since that is all handled by the property owner. The only solution I have found is to use a different tax preparer.

we can't see your return   your tax should be the net of your Michigan wages  box 16 of W-2  less your exemptions from box 9 on the MI-1040 times 4.25% Maybe your employer miscalculated withholding or maybe on the MI W-4 you claimed too many exemptions  or maybe you mad an enry error.
Merci de partager votre solution, C'est très apprécié 🙂
