At the end of the MO return, when you come to the page titled Miscellaneous Missouri Credits, answer YES.   @jabearden   This list contains examples but the Homestead Disaster Credit is included in the miscellaneous options.    On the next screen, select HDC from the dropdown menu.     Homestead Disaster Tax Credit - This credit may be carried forward for a maximum of twenty-nine years.

You made a few payments that contained both principal and interest, I assume. Any actual interest paid toward your student loan can be included. Keep proof of the amounts paid and how you determined the interest with your tax file. The IRS knows forms are not sent for amount below $600. @runrainyrun

DID YOU E-FILE?   Did you e-file?   Did you go through all three steps of the FILE section and click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”     When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted  or rejected your federal e-file.  If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.   Check your e-file status:   https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/    What does it say in your account?  Does it show that the return was accepted?   Or does it say something else---like "rejected," "printed," or "ready to mail?”

Both of you will have to enter Form 1095-A on your tax returns. TurboTax will ask you questions about if the policy was shared with someone and how to allocate the costs and credit.    The percentages that you should enter for your premium, your SLCSP, and your advance payment should be an amount that you and your spouse agree on. It could be 50/50/50 for your premium/ your SLCSP/your advance  or another amount. Make sure you are in agreement and that the percentages on all tax returns add up to 100% together.   TurboTax will calculate the information that should be on your return based on your answers.   Refer to the TurboTax article Where do I enter my 1095-A? for navigation instructions.

If you are referring to a Backdoor Roth, you need to enter the non-deductible contribution in the Deductions and Credits section, see https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/retirement-benefits/enter-backdoor-roth-ira-conversion/L7gGPjKVY_US_en_US   If you don't have a contribution and just doing Roth conversion but not seeing 8606 then go through this section under Deductions and Credits anyway as it will ask about your IRA/Roth situation and confirm basis etc.   Re Form 5498 - if you mean the question to provide the total market value of your IRAs as of 12/31/25, Turbotax suggests you need Form 5498 for that but those are not normally sent out until May.  Per IRS instructions for 8606 Line 6 (see below) you should use your year-end brokerage statements for this.  Note the market value is for all Traditional IRAs (not Roth) if you have multiple accounts not just the account where the conversion was processed, they are all treated as one for basis/tax calculation purposes.   https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i8606.pdf   If that doesn't help please provide more details on your situation and question.

This scenario is indeed quite plausible. My state tax refund was adjusted and subsequently paid in full. However, my federal refund underwent an offset, which duplicated the deduction for the same balance that had already been settled with the state. Consequently, I now face a waiting period exceeding one month to receive the overpayment from the state.

I am a tattoo artist and I spend a large amount of time in my office at home texting and calling with clients, answering questions, providing aftercare details, and booking consults and appointments over the phone before I go into work each day or over the weekend.
see response from @DonLuis This appears to be TT issue and not IRS.

The 2025 Form 1040X used to amend your tax return won’t be available until the end of next week. You can check for Forms availability by reviewing the TurboTax article When will my individual tax forms be available in TurboTax?   Wait until your tax return is fully processed and you receive your refund or your balance due is deducted from your account.    For more information and instructions, review the TurboTax articles How to Correct Federal Tax Returns, How to File an Amended Tax Return with the IRS and Video: How to Amend Your Tax Return.

Thanks for posting your experience.  Since I am working with desktop versions I was able to go directly to form and modify worksheet to change 17a, b and c and provide property address.  However, the return was still rejected.     Any idea if I am missing anything from your suggestion?
There is no federal credit like that, so you must be asking about a state credit.  We do not know what state you are in, but if your state has such a credit it will be in the state software.

If you don't have a Tax Home tab, and if you don't have a section "Your Tax Returns & Documents", then it sounds like you have not yet started a 2025 return in that account.  Here's some more info:   This answer assumes your previous returns were prepared in Online TurboTax.   Any return prepared in desktop TurboTax will not be in an Online account.  Here's how one would normally find past-year online returns and how to troubleshoot for multiple accounts (User IDs) if necessary.  Many people end up with more than 1 account.  The pathway to download the PDF or tax data file depends on whether or not you have started an online 2025 return.  I provide both scenarios below, so choose which one is appropriate for your situation.   If you have not yet started a 2025 online return: Sign in to your account.   What you see next depends on whether or not you have already started a 2025 return in that account.   If your left column menu is minimal, and does not have a Tax Home tab displayed, that would imply you have not started preparing a 2025 return in that account.  If you haven't yet started a return, it will start asking you some questions.  Answer those preliminary questions on a few screens (you don't actually have to prepare a return), and then when you are far enough into the process, the left menu column will change, and you'll then see a Tax Home option in the left menu column.  Do not click the Documents tab.  Instead, click on Tax Home.  Then on the Tax Home screen, scroll way down to the bottom to "Your Tax Returns & Documents".  Expand that section and choose the past year you want.   If your past returns are not shown there, then you likely have multiple accounts and signed into the wrong one.  I'll tell you below how to troubleshoot.   If you have already started a 2025 online return: Log in, and if you've already started a 2025 return in that account, then it may already open at the Tax Home.  If not, click the Tax Home tab in the left column menu.  Do not use the Documents tab.  At the Tax Home scroll down and expand "Your Tax Returns & Documents."   If the past returns are not there, see the steps below.   If you do all that and can't find the past return, here's how to look for multiple accounts: You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes.  A User ID may be an email address, but it doesn't have to be.  It might be only part of an email address, or it can be anything at all.   To get a list of your User IDs, reset password, and recover account access, etc., you can use the tool at the link below.  When using the Account Recovery tool, try using your phone number first if you can still access it.   After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access. NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop.  Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below.  You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session. https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery If still no luck after running that on your phone number you can still access and email address(es) that you can access,  here's another method:          Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, scroll down a bit, then choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by other parameters.
