Poorly worded question on a complicated topic without any explanation whatsoever.  At of this late date, 28 Feb 2026, these sorts of defects/deficiencies should have been weeded out.  In general really disappointed with TT as timeliness is non-supportive.  I finally have all of my forms and yet TT isn't really ready to support filing.  Wondering what's gone awry at TT.  Quality Control Team at TT needs to up their game otherwise user may need to seek alternative sources for time filing services. The date for the refund on the TurboTax website is only an estimate based on the IRS average of issuing a tax refund within 21 days after receiving the tax return.   Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.   Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.    If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...   After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
Hi. I paid $150 to file my taxes for 2023. Do I have to pay that for each year?

I was able to have my retur accepted by the IRS on 2/9/26. However, I got a letter from the IRS Yesterday stating: You claimed an Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit on form 5695 , but one or more of the QMIN is missing or incomplete.    My QMIN began with the Letter "I"  but the form was otherwise complete. Now I have to file the form separately.  So, even if you can file and have the IRS accept the submittal, it may be rejected.  Not sure what I paid for the Turbotax, but this will be the last time I use their software.
My returns were accepted on 02/05/26 and here it is 02/27/2026 and I have not received anything.

Bonjour,   Merci pour la réponse, le problème était l'annexe 3 pour moi.   Marco.
I had same question.  Sounds like something Turbo Tax needs to put on the screens.

Yes, it is true that your parents should file that.   If it is asking you for one, it is because you did not select that someone else can and will claim you as a dependent on their return.  To resolve this go back to the personal info section and select the pencil next to your name.  Walk back through the questions and select that someone else will claim you as a dependent on their return.  This should allow your return to go through and be accepted.

Merci.

Any answers from the IRS, unless in writing, are unofficial. If you rely on oral answers and they're wrong, you have no recourse to mitigate any additional taxes, penalties, or interest imposed. That doesn't man you get a wrong answer. Just that you can't rely on it.    perhaps if you post your question in this forum, some consistent insight might be provided.  However, many things are unclear in the tax laws so different responders can have different viewpoints
