Although you are not required to file Form 1310 as a court-appointed personal representative, if you are claiming a refund for the deceased, you will need the form in order to Efile.    You may be able to Efile by checking the box for 'other person claiming a refund' rather than 'court appointed representative' which requires court documents to be attached to a mailed return.    Here's more info on Form 1310.   @Peggytay

Check the 2-letter state code for that zip code.   Make sure the city and state match up to the zip code.  This error happens when the state code doesn't match what is on file with the IRS.  TurboTax follows the IRS for acceptable zip codes.  If the state code does not match the correct state, you will get an e-filing error.   Correcting the state code is usually the fix.  @Colbalt15    Check that the 2 letter state abbreviation is correct here USPS Two–Letter State and Possession Abbreviations   (most common error) Make sure you've entered the ZIP code in either 5-digit or 9-digit format, for example, 12345 or 12345-6789. Look up the correct ZIP code for the street address in question.

ok, it sounds like I need to put part of the scholarship on her income tax form and part on mine correct? (she is my dependent)  If this is true she had a small job and earned $6000 and she already filed her taxes to get her refund.  Do I need to file an adjustment?   Do we put the overage amount plus the $4000 for AOC on her taxes so that I can claim the AOC?
