This fix worked for me too.  (Delete the form and it is then automatically regenerated without the error.)

Please follow these steps: 1. Go to your "Tax Profile," and check the box "Investment Income," then continue. 2. Check the box beside "I sold stock, bonds, mutual funds, crypto or virtual currency, or other property (capital gains/losses)." After this, you can continue filing your tax return. 3. Under the Income section, you will see a form for Capital Gains or Capital Gains Deduction. Open it and click "Continue" on the Capital Gains information page. Then choose the option shown below and then continue.  5. Choose the type of capital property disposed of, and continue completing the form.  Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

I have entered all y 1099-MISC and NEC information and amounts. IT doesn't transfer to the 1040. What do I do?

You have not mentioned how many years it has been since you filed a tax return.     When your return was rejected (what year??) you should have fixed it and re-filed or you could have filed it by mail.   It seems you did neither of those.   You could still print the rejected return and mail it.   You will not get a refund if the return is for a tax year earlier than 2022; if you owe tax due, your late filing penalties and interest have been adding up all this time.   Each tax year has to be filed separately using the forms for the specific tax year.  They cannot be combined in any way--do not even put them in the same envelope when you mail them.  Software for past years is available back to 2022.  Any earlier years can only be prepared on paper forms by hand--and those refunds have been forfeited now.   The current online program can only be used for a 2025 return--no other year.  And if you did not file a timely 2024 return you will have trouble e-filing 2025.  When it asks for your 2024 AGI try using zero.  If zero does not work then you have to print, sign and mail 2025.   It might be better for you to seek local paid tax help in a situation when you are several years behind in filing your tax returns.  Do you even have all of the documents you will need to enter and show your income—like your W-2’s and any 1099’s?     You cannot change the tax year.   The current online program is for 2025 only.   Only a 2025 return can be prepared online and only a 2025 return can be e-filed.   Online preparation and e-filing for 2022, 2023, and  2024 is permanently closed. Note:  The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac.  It cannot be used on a mobile device.   To file a return for a prior tax year  If you need to prepare a return for 2022, 2023, or 2024  you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign,  and mail the return(s) https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/ You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.   Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0     When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

Thank you Leticia1. What about the foreign tax withheld already? In my case, this income is my teacher's pension from Canada and the Canadian government holds back 15% non-resident tax. Where do I enter this amount? Form 1116? Also, which income do I report, the pre or post foreign tax income? Last year TT would not accept the 99-0999999 code, I used 55-555555 instead and it worked. Are you saying the 99-0999999 will now work in TT25?   Best regards, Charles
You would only answer Yes to that question if you *didn't* live with your spouse after getting married.

Thank your for responding.  My question wasn't clearly stated.      A different TurboTax thread on this topic indicated the answer (entering the Box 1 value in Box 16) might be different if there were more than one state involved.   Is it possible I should be doing something other than entering the box 1 value into box 16?   Also, another thread indicated that the amount in box 2a (taxable amount) should instead be entered in the turbotax box 16.  Are you certain Box 1 is the proper one?   Last question...   The CSA 1099R issued by OPM has never contained a Box 16.   Will TurboTax address this reality in future versions?
It auto populated, but there's no info to fill in

Most refunds take around three weeks to process. ‌However, as XmasBaby0 mentions above, if you had a credit on your tax return like the Earned Income Credit or the Child Tax Credit and Additional Child Tax Credit, the processing time is a little longer.   The delay is due to the PATH Act or Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes, and it requires the IRS to hold refunds for returns claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) until at least February 15. You can use this IRS tool Where's My Refund? to check on the status of your refund. It provides updates regarding the processing of your tax return.    You can also call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday. Make sure to have a copy of your tax return available.   These things can delay a refund: Your tax return has errors, is incomplete or is affected by identity theft or fraud. Your tax return needs a correction to the child tax credit or recovery rebate credit amount. Your tax return has a claim filed for an earned income tax credit, additional child tax credit, or includes a Form 8379, Injured Spouse Allocation PDF. Your bank may take longer to post your refund to your bank account. The IRS will contact taxpayers by mail if it needs more information to process their return.   Click here for "Why Is My Tax Refund Delayed? 7 Common Reasons"   Click here for "How to Track an Income Tax Refund"   Click here for   Why it may take longer than 21 days for some taxpayers to receive their federal refund Please return To Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.

Yes, if the changes that you make require you to use the Self-Employed version.
