Tell us what you actually entered on your federal return.
In the Interest part of Investments, you entered for your 1099-INT the name of the institution that paid the interest, and the interest income in Box 1, right? Di you entered anything in Box 3?
Next, on the "Do any of these uncommon situations apply?" screen, did you check off the box for the second line "My state (ME, MD, MA, NH, NJ, or WV) doesn't tax all of this interest"?

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.

No. Box 14 of Form W2 is for informational purposes and usually does not have an impact on your tax return, but there are some exceptions. The amounts listed in Box 14 should be entered in TurboTax and require a category to be selected.
S125 PreT is a Section 125 Pre-Tax employee-sponsored "cafeteria" plan that allows pre-tax benefits for medical, dental, vision, etc. These amounts are pre-tax, so they are not included in Box 1 of your W-2.
For this Box 14 entry on your W-2, you can use the Category Other/Not classified unless you are a New York resident or the W-2 is NY source income, in which case this amount may be taxable in NY. If this is the case, you need to choose the category NY IRC 125/SEC 18 Subject to NY Tax or NY IRC 125/SEC 18 NY Tax Exempt.
FRS 414(h) represents employee contributions to a public retirement plan.
In most cases, the category for this entry in Box 14 of your W-2 is Other/Not classified. However, if you are a resident of New York or the W-2 is NY source income, this amount may be taxable in NY. If this is the case, you will need to choose as the category either NY IRC 414(h) Subject to NY Tax or NY IRC 414(h) NY Tax Exempt.

We have seen a lot of people who made a user error with the entry of their SSA1099. The screen right after you enter the SSA1099 asks you if you lived in certain foreign countries in 2025. If you skipped past that screen or answered incorrectly, your Social Security was not taxed correctly. Look at your Form 1040 and see if line 6b was left blank due to that mistake. The IRS is catching those mistakes and correcting them by reducing your refund.

The entry I made that has the red lettering is a copy of a document that Wells Fargo emailed me. Wells Fargo is messed up when it comes to this issue. The hard copy they mailed to us via USPS is the legal document I'm assuming. In the event we get audited by the IRS that hard copy mailed to use will be used. When I log into the Wells Fargo account, currently the 2025 Consolidated Forms 1099 on the website still matches the hard copy they mailed us back in January. We are waiting until April to file our taxes because I don't trust Well Fargo.

2. Not sure where you got the information that you can file for free in MN. TurboTax is not priced by which state you are in.

4. No there is no tax rebate for working from home.
Sorry---W-2 employees cannot deduct job-related expenses on a federal return. Job-related expenses were eliminated as a federal deduction for W-2 employees by the tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond. Your state tax laws might be different in AL, AR, CA, HI, MN, NY or PA.
If you are preparing a return for a state that lets you deduct job-related expenses, the information will flow from your federal return to the state return, so enter it in Federal>Deductions and Credits>Employment Expenses>Job-Related Expenses
5. Is that a charity?
Charity donations are an itemized deduction; unless you have enough itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction, the charity donation has no effect.
Your itemized deductions have to be more than your standard deduction before you will see a change in your tax owed or tax refund. The deductions you enter do not necessarily count “dollar for dollar;”—medical expenses, for example, must meet a threshold that is pretty hard to reach. (Only the amount that is MORE than 7.5% of your AGI counts) The software program uses all the IRS rules that apply to the deductions you enter, and it tells you if you have enough to use your itemized deductions or if using the standard deduction is more advantageous for you.
The standard deduction makes some of your income “tax free.” It is not a refund. You will see your standard or itemized deduction amount on line 12e of your Form 1040.
2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS
SINGLE $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind +1600)
MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500 (65 or older/legally blind + $1600)
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)

I am unable to sort “Your charities and donations” in alphabetical order like we used to be able to do. This makes it harder (more time consuming) for one to enter the charitable donations information when one has organized their files in alphabetic order. Based on a 2021 post, the feature apparently did not exist for 2020 returns, but for the last several years, TurboTax desktop has allowed one to at least sort the list into alphabetic order each time one went to the list. For the 2025 version, this feature appears to be gone. Very disappointing!
